Well I'm on the verge of a 3rd star and also recently passed a nice round number of games on my GOG shelf. I guess both - um... achievements? - call for a giveaway. So here's a round number of games.

-participation: tell me about a non-gaming hobby you enjoy or would like to learn about
-I will close this in about a week, give or take. Probably Friday or Saturday.

All games are GOG.

-My main non-gaming hobby is peakbagging. Big trips planned for 2015: coastal range of Northern California, county highpoints along the Iowa-Minnesota border, Longs Peak in Colorado. With smaller trips around the majority of the western US.
-The hobby I would like to learn more about is birding.

As for a hobby, I've always enjoyed learning more about space and astronomy! Have you heard about the New Horizons probe? It's set to get the first ever close-up pictures of Pluto in the next couple of months! It's been traveling since 2006!

I have quite a few hobbies, and switch between them. I cook, sew, crochet, paint, write, decoupage, make wreaths, tooled leather items, plus other traditional crafty stuff - and fiddle with digital art (My daughter's the expert on that though. I am more into design work.) I hope to learn more about all of them, and do ever snazzier projects

As for the hobby, I enjoy writing. Plays, prose, poems, pseudorandom nonsense (I love alliteration :D), anything as long as it keeps me focused. It's kinda like meditation for me.
The hobby I'd like to learn more about is kinetic typography (fancy words for something that is essentially moving text :D). I love those kind of things, the motion to the natural rhytm of speech, it's fascinating. Have tried making a couple of them myself, but I need to learn more.

I'm in for IHnMaIMS! As for a hobby I enjoy, I've been training Aikido for two years now, and I'm always on a lookout for Geocaches in both urban areas and out in the country.

Congrats on your third star, you really deserve it :)

I like to watch movies, and tv series, like The Big Bang Theory, Breaking Bad, Lost, etc. Also like to play board games, like Trivial Pursuit or Monopoly. Also trying to improve my bad english for myself T___T

Congrats for the new star!

My main non-gaming hobby is listening & playing music, bass guitar to be precise. I've been playing for 15 years but lately i find myself playing less and less because i developed some pretty nasty hearing problems. To counter this (and my inability to play with a band anymore, both in studio & live), i begun writing music (i'm using my desktop PC to record all the instruments - i have some projects going on right now) and this gives me the motivation to continue play music..

Another hobby that i had some time ago but i intend to start doing again in the future is amateur astronomy (or backyard astronomy). I used to spend time studying about anything that is up there during the day and then, during the night, i used to go to the terrace to watch the nightsky trying to learn the positions of some constellations, some galaxies etc. I stopped doing this hobby because for some reason, i developed a "cosmic fear", as a good friend named it when i told him about. When i was up there and saw the entire universe either with my binoculars or by naked eyes, for some weird reason it gave me the creeps sometimes.. :P
