paladin181: It's not bitching when it's a problem that could easily be rectified.
It is infantile bitching to claim GOG has "very very poor communication", when in reality their communication regarding this is far better than pretty much any other digital gaming store, mainly because the other stores wouldn't communicate at all.
paladin181: For one, GOG isn't Steam.
I have never understood that double-standard. People accept something from Steam they would never accept from GOG because... Steam is Steam? That makes no sense whatsoever.
If you think it is "very very poor communication" to not widely tell all digital store users whenever a single game re-appears on the store (or when it is removed for that matter), then you should apply that standard to all stores, not just GOG.
paladin181: For another, they try to inform us of game removals and resurfacing games. They fail a lot in those regards. But that's not the only place their poor communication skills come through, such as the recent kerfuffle with the profile pages and no customer base-wide email until AFTER the changes went live. It's poor performance, and should be called out at every opportunity because it is an EASY fix that they continually refuse to enact.
Ok then, maybe GOG just should stop all communication (just like Valve), and then all would be fine, right? After all, if they wouldn't try to tell us about game removals (just like Valve doesn't), then there would be nothing to bitch about, right?
Note: I am not saying people shouldn't suggest improvements to GOG, even I have done that (I was quite vocal regarding e.g. the embedded Galaxy installers on the offline game installers). I am mostly commenting the way like e.g. kbnrylaec always seems to put everything out of proportions with his negativity. I don't think I have ever seen him say anything positive about GOG anyway, maybe GOG stole his dog or something,
