when did the summer sale technically start? I purchased Pillars of Eternity May 26th. Would this get me the codes?

No, you're about a week and a half too soon on that one.
sweet! thanks
So I bought Dragon's Dogma a few days before the Alan Wake deal and I still haven't received my copy of it.

What's the deal? Did I misread or aren't I entitled to a copy of it?

If you bought it after the Summer Sale started you should receive the game (and Rebel Galaxy too).
I purchased of more than 10$, received a code for Alan Wake's American Nightmare, redeemed it from a different computer, but it does not appear in the library. Any idea why?

Give it some time. I bought a bunch of games before the deal as well and just got my code yesterday.
Bought 5 games for $10.35, got two for free immediately via mail. Everything went perfectly. Give your robots a hug. And maybe the ten people programming the robots too.

Leroux: I think the new approach of keeping the same discounts for the entire duration of the sale - which is much more convenient for customers - on the other hand doesn't sit that well with publishers and makes them much less generous with the discounts than they would have been with daily deals. Case in point: Disney recently offered games like Tron 2.0 for 77% off on Gamersgate - for one day - while at the same time they only offer a measly 15% off here - for a fortnight.

The_Blog: Yeah. I really miss the flash/daily deals on steam and the insomnia sales on gog :(
I miss the discounts, not the distraction these daily deals caused and the time they stole from me. Sadly, it seems you can't have one without the other. ;)
Sorry, I posted this as a question before seeing this thread.

So, I purchased The Witcher 3's 2 DLC's, which gave me TW3: GOTY
I never saw anything about Rebel Galaxy, nor Alan Wake (the dlc's were over $10).
Also, I believe I have Alan Wake already on gog, and was wondering if I get a gift option fro it?
I would like to put it in one of the free giveaways here on gog community.

Thanks.

For both games?
Thank you.

(I found out I only bought Alan Wake as a gift).

Seems I got a similar problem.

I bought "The Dwarves" on summer sale for 20 bucks, but didn't receive a free copy of Alan Wake either.

Have I perhaps misunderstood the news update? From what I read, I thought this would apply to any combination of games bought through the summer sale that sum up to $10 or more in total. But apparently this didn't work. Am I missing something?

No. It's as advertised. I bought well over 10 bucks worth of games (the last purchase being three days ago). I didn't get the Alan Wake code until yesterday. Looks like there's a delay in getting the codes out.
