W1 include Manual, Reference Card and Map in game folder - no documents in extras. W2 Deluxe has manual as an extra (it also lands in game's folder). I find GOG a bit messy nowadays. I would like to know what is in the bundle I'm going to buy.

hello i hope there is someone that can help me on win 10 the game is running but it crashes each time i start a game is there anyone that know how to get this game working on win 10 is it because it have to be on program files/red orb entertainment and not in gog games folder

i cant even set the wincursor on in the shortcut settings it says i need to have admin permission to do this

And to put the cherry on the cake, for anyone wondering about it, the game (Warlords 3) runs perfectly in Linux via Wine.

JUST 2 WEEKS AGO I TRIED DOWLOADING THIS GAME AGAIN VIA SOME ABANDONWARE SITE USING A VIRTUAL MACHINE BUT IT RAN LIKE CRAPO AT LIKE 1 FPS AND WAS TOO UNPLAYABLE, GOD PLEASE LET THIS ONE WORK!
They have new heroes and hero skills and stuff.

Also a pro tip to people playing the game again, remember to reorder the default order of your attackers, e.g. put catapults / siege engines at the end of the queue so that their siege bonus remains relevant and they dont die fast.

Instant Buy for Warlords III. Had this on my wishlist for a few years now. Thanks GOG for bringing this beauty here!

Warlords 3 is back after all these years! No more browsing ancient websites, no more hours spent cursing at the screen trying to get it to run on modern systems...

This is an important piece of gaming history brought back to turn-based fans. It did things differently but had unique gameplay mechanics you cannot find today.

Today the Darklords truly are Rising! :D

I'm only familiar with the Warlords Battlecry games, so I guess these are somewhat similar?

The Warlords 3 screenshots look horizontally stretched, is this a bad widescreen patch or just a fail on GOGs part?

1) not similar at all, classic warlords are turn based strategies. IMHO much better and more fun games, as long as you are into turn based at all (may be biased, I tried battlecry just few years back, and I really didn't like it)

2) a quick google search didn't pop any widescreen patch for Warlords 3 (1+2 are DOS games, maybe even 16bit real mode executables IIRC, forget about patching *that* :))). So I guess the W3 is also running in classic 4:3 resolutions only? (didn't try myself, I bought only 1+2). And then screenshots are maybe stretched.
