Titan Quest: Atlantis is now available DRM-free. Get it 10% off until May 24th, 5pm UTC.

The Hero meets an explorer that is searching for the mythical kingdom of Atlantis, and together they set out on a journey across the western Mediterranean. The key lies in the legendary Diary of Herakles, rumored to be in the Phoenician City of Gadir, but their journey will take them beyond the edges of the known world...
Saves seem to be compatible. I can't tell you anything about the micro stuttering because I haven't played the game long enough after the update to notice them.

eiii: Does anybody know if the annoying micro-stuttering of the GOG version is fixed with this update? Are the save-games compatible or do I have to restart from scratch when I update to the new version?
I never had any micro stuttering (only very few areas in which the game froze for a very short moment (don't know if you meant this) but I have quite some problems with the new DX11 version (screen tearing, performance issues ect -with a GTX1060 this should not happen) so I went back to the DX9 version myself. Runs fine now. Keep in mind that I am only talking about the base game update. Since I have not finished Ragnarök yet I also did not buy Atlantis. You can test the DX11 version yourself.

Does it introduce Great- / Two-Handed Swords?

*edit*
And because there is always someone who loves to misunderstand: Swords so big they as a single weapon require two hands; I'm aware that it already has dual wielding two swords. ;)

Does nobody who read this plays the add-on? oO

I´m still playing Ragnarök. It will take a while until I reach Atlantis, but I will report as soon as I find two-handed swords.
*sigh

another trailer that shows crap all of actual game, honestly cant be bothered to look further into it

Better that movie trailers. :P

They show you three great shots/sequences/lines, so you go see it and realize it was the only three in the entire movie. :P

Loger13: Hello, ThomNG!
I try to ask these questions in every THQNordic release topic, but you run away immediately after the first post and I'm late. I hope this time I managed.
First, thanks for the release!
And secondly, a little offtopic:
1. Are there at least approximate dates when we will see the Kingdoms of Amalur here? I want to that day I have already prepared to throw money at the monitor (I mean to GOG/THQ Nordic :) ).
2. Any timeframe for Second Sight (It need to be back here!).
3. Is there any chance to see Wreckfest and/or Monster Jam Steel Titans here? GOG suffers from the catastrophic lack of racing games.
4. Is there a chance to see Alone in the Dark (2008) here? I want complete series.
5. I understand that this is unlikely, but I still ask: is there at least some chance to see the games from Microsoft here? For example such as Sunset Overdrive and ReCore.

Please share any information that you have and that you can (allowed) tell us.

Thanks again!

P.S.
Nice l̶i̶g̶h̶t̶s̶a̶b̶e̶r̶ magicsword in the trailer!
Thanks for your questions.

I really wish I can give a clear answer but we're not allowed to comment anything about our future releases :(

How come you guys don't do like years ago where you unofficially dropped subtle hints in pictures/other hints? That was nice, I think, and no one could prove it was intentional leaked information.

I'm also talking about the base game. Micro-freezes and stuttering might have been the better wording. There are several threads about the problem in the game forum. DX11 probably is not a solution for me as I play the game with Wine. But the problem is not caused by Wine, people playing on Windows are also affected, even those with much faster hardware. And for me it only affects the GOG version, my CD version runs much smoother.

I only see one game installer to download. Does it contain both, the DX9 and DX11, versions?

Titan's Quest with the Atlantis expansion is more demanding and unstable running in Wndows and Linux as well it seems. You have the option of DX9 which I guess is the legacy mode. But you have to choose it manually by going in the directory and start the TQ_Launcher.exe or the TQ.exe. Perhaps you can start those in WINE.

In general, this is why I ask ThomNG.
Even "not (at this moment)" on the points where there is definitely no? Even such information is better than none.
Is there anyone in the company who can comment (has authority)?
Maybe ThomNG can say something. This time I was not lucky anyway - I managed to quickly, but he did not appear in the topic at all. I will have to try the next time (and again, it is unknown when it will happen).
P.S.
Why are we notified about releases in Steam in advance, and releases in GOG (even those who are late for years) are secret? After all, more than once it was already that people, who had no information about a game’s release here, bought it on Steam. With current secrecy, you lose sales, and we lose the ability to plan purchases.

Yes. You can either use the included launcher or simply lauch the TQ.exe instead of the TQ_DX11.exe to laucnch the DX9 version.
Time will whether TQ really benefits from these new expasions. But, I do like that they are reason to not stop working on the game code in general. :)

Oh, and can only stress that these questions for ThomNG are indeed very interesting ones, would love to read an answer.

Different executables for DX9 and DX11, that makes sense. Thanks both of you!

And in case you play in German you might want to take a look at this as well (at least for now until they fixed it).
