bad_fur_day1: This game repelled me in horror after the marvelous Morrowind.

Kite1024: I remember Morrowind not appealing to me after I started out with Oblivion :)

EDIT: Out of curiosity; Does anyone know if this works with the mods/nexus mod manager?
It should work, yes. Not sure if OBSE has released the updated version yet so be careful :)

fortune_p_dawg: easily my best day on gog so far, and thanks again!

zeogold: I came to this thread just to see this.
Now all we need is Freddi Fish 2.
*single tear*
Hot damn! :D That's how I feel about all of today's releases.
Wonderful! Have been waiting for it for a while. One question:

does it work side by side with the Steam version of Oblivion without interfering with one another? Such as sharing the same directory for saves and setting in My Document?

If they stay entirely separated, then it would be possible to have Nehrim and vanilla Oblivion (with whatever other mods) at the same time.

Would have loved for this thread to be "Oblivion!!!1!1!" replies from everyone, but I guess we're too wordy for that. :)
Enjoy the game Mr dawg, and...

OBLIVION!!11!!!1!!1!!1!!

Well, short answer is no.
It might be possible after some tinkering, but generally it is unwise.
Well, I was hesitant to buy all three games now... and then remembered I received Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics free before they were taken down a while ago. Bought the three games. Thanks GOG.

So just to clarify since I think my original question was a bit misleading. The GOG version and Steam version of Oblivion do share some directories and/or registry entry regardless of fact that they are installed in two separate location. Is that right?
And instabought, of course, no questions asked :)
What a happy day to be alive, I am really happy these games have turned up here, and judging by the comments, lots of people too :)

GOG bless the blues! :D

Very humble post-scriptum: Silently hoping for Skyrim and Doom3/Quake 4 :P
Wish listed for now but thanks for the great release!

They share all of them - registry key, Documents\My Games folder and AppData folder
Does Oblivion have a mod selector built into the game?
