Trilarion: Actually, there could be more reasons why people buy from here. They could like the service... *cough*
As a matter of facts, I do.

Are there things they could do better, yes obviously. But every time I had to contact them for a technical or sale issue I had it resolved within a reasonable time frame.

Not specifically answering your post but more generally:

If people could stop talking for others and, let's dream, stop the GOG / Galaxy bashing / conspiracy theories (but low expectations there, it's too trendy to go for now), I think the forums would have a chance to become, once again, I nice play to chat with people.

I mean, at some point, I get it. The core principles are gone / GOG can't be trusted anymore / They will try do to a "Steam" move then close the shop because everybody will be gone... I understand the message and I can accept it but if you really feel this dissatisfied by GOG and their services, why are you still here? (I know, that's how forums works on the web but let me still have some hope :) ).
Thank you Thiev!
I never realised that Oblivion could look so gorgeous on a PC.

I played it years ago on an XBox 360, so I had certain expectations of the graphics, but this time I maxed out the settings and set the farthest draw distances that I could, then I simply started travelling around admiring the scenery. :-)

blakstar: Did you buy them back when they were owned by Interplay? The ones on the store currently are the Bethesda re-releases.

They're the same games, but they show up as not being owned if you have the originals in your library.

EDIT: I see I got ninja'd whilst typing. :-)
I guess that's the issue here. I got them when it was Interplay that had the rights. I guess I need to look into if they are worth buying again. But thx for the clarification.

wcdeadpool: Hi!
I can't get my mods to work with that version... They used to work with the disc version... Anyone else tried?
avatar
Thiev: probably you need to re-check them in the launcher
I found the reason. The game's .bsa files are dated of 2017 in GOG's version , so the game loads them in priority over the mods with older dates... I changed the .bsa files dates to the original ones ( around 2006)using the oblivion mod manager and now the mods are loading as intended! :)

It's not like my avatar marks me as a fan of the series or anything :p
Ok. Oblivion is here. All jokes aside. Where's the Skyrim? :)
I believe that we'll hear this every release day for some time.

I don't recognise it so I wouldn't know :P

I've only ever played Oblivion (though I have Morrowind and intend to play it someday soon...) and don't have any strong memories of it.

Go play Morrowind! ;)
Does anyone know if this version of Oblivion supports LAA? My disc copy keeps crashing around 1.9GB of RAM usage, despite the .exe being patched.

bad_fur_day1: ...... Maybe Gog should create a Oblivion Mod post for this.
