Grargar: As has been said before, the only Star Trek games that will see a release for the time being are the Interplay ones. With the release of Starfleet Command, the ones remaining are:

Star Trek: Klingon Academy
Star Trek: New Worlds
Star Trek: Starfleet Command II: Empires at War
Star Trek: Starfleet Command II: Orion Pirates

Anything else is not set into stone and nobody knows what will happen with them. The fact that some of those games are based on the Next Generation might pose an even bigger obstacle to their possible future release.
Well, I am interested in ST: New Worlds and also in Klingon Academy.

I was gonna ask about Star Trek: Invasion, a first person space flight combat game but as it turns out it was only released on the ps1. What a shame, it was a great game with beautiful graphics for the time. Looks like I've gotta go to my local game store to see if they have a copy.

opeter3: Yeah, sadly ... :(

The last "big" Star Trek game for Windows/PC (and consoles: Xbox 360/PS) was made in 2013 by Digital Extremes and published by Namco Bandai Games.

@KyrozuDesoya: thank you for this information.

So we won't get any of the Activision titles ... OK then.

But what about Star Trek: Legacy? This one had big problems, that is was practically unfinished, but the Ultimate Universe mod made a great game out of it.

It was published by Bethesda Softworks/Ubisoft. We have som Ubisoft games here ...

ElTerprise: The 2013 game is available on Steam and pretty bad from what i've heard...

I don't think we'll getting Legacy here. And Ubisoft was only the distributor in Europa afaik....
I have Star Trek The Videogame (2013) and from my point of view it is one of the best Star Trek games ever made. I think most of the negativity comes from the fact, that people were expectng Star Trek Effect. But it is a solid TPS with an interesting story and of course with voicaeacting from movie actors. It is definitely a game worth trying.

Star Trek Legacy was not a bad game, but terribly, terribly unfinished. Even the script writer apologized to players that the final version had half the story and missions removed. Hence making the game shorter and the story without much sense. But I would definitely like to see this game released here nevertheless.

Well i only heard that about the game - haven't played it myself yet. And not the biggest fan of the new movies...maybe i'll try it at some point.

I was really disappointed by the game and it was terribly unfinished...but as mentioned before the Ultimate Universe mod improved a game.

There was also:

Star Trek Pinball ( http://en.memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/Star_Trek_Pinball_(Interplay) )
Star Trek: Starfleet Academy - Chekov's Lost Missions ( http://en.memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/Star_Trek:_Starfleet_Academy_-_Chekov%27s_Lost_Missions )

I really hope to see other publishers, too: I'd like to try "Borg", for example, the interactive movie directed by Jonhathan "Commander Riker" Frakes... I think that one was by Simon & Schuster

blakstar: It's definitely not turn-based, but, as I recall, many of the battles were actually quite sedate, given that you're controlling large starships, instead of little fighters.

tinyE: Really?

Gotta have.

I was going to dedicate my day to work but screw it, those people can find their own room.
It's based on a turn-based board wargame called StarFleet Battles, by Amarillo Design Bureau, in Texas. It's a fusion of real-time and turn-based - where everything moves at the same "impulse" in a turn - depending on speed of ship settings - 32 (the max) moving faster and further than a ship on speed 6, say. You get to control when weapons fire, or you drop mines, or use marines to capture (teleporter), and the system takes care of all the book-keeping for you.
More Star Trek is always good, but I never really got into Starfleet Command. Bridge Commander was much more to my liking.
Nice release! Thanks GOG!

Goes to the wishlist waiting for better times regarding time and money.
awwwwww sheeeeyit.

massive chalice followed by massive release.

good game, this. the sequel is even better and I really enjoyed the third game even though most people will lament that it dumbed the series down. great series, great game.

edit: also, I'm pretty sure I got the best photon torpedos for this game. at least for three. mines are better. not sure but I think I did the photon entirely from scratch.

Looks pretty cool! Does Starfleet Command run in a window? It looks like it doesn't have a listing in the PCGamingWiki.

Bridge Commander was good, especially with MODs. However the game still felt like a Bridge Visitor. Everything was done by Saffi Larsen. To such extent that I really wanted to put her out of the airlock sometimes :-)

Yeah, Bridge Commander was an excellent game with mods! It was fun skirmishing with the Enterprise-D! Right now the wishlist has over 3,200 votes!
I really like Star Trek: Birth of the Federation... need to find that one again... Starfleet Command never did it for me...

Woohoo! It's funny, just a week or so ago and I was talking about really reaching for a couple birds in the bush, because I was holding out gaming time just hoping this one would show up. Based on your comments, I'm tempted to totally look this gift horse in the mouth and go for the sequel... what makes it better? Care to give a bit of an impression rundown?
Thanks for bringing these classics back. I needed this.
