I tried to do some actual research on this, but there isn't a lot of info online. There's a wiki but it's extremely anemic. From what I've read and seen, the gameplay and story honestly sounds really interesting, but holy shit is the lolicon pandering so blatant and shameless. The girls (including the obviously 12-year old ones) even get naked when they reach their limit break or whatever, because of course.

I honestly have no hate for anime. There's plenty of anime and even anime games that I actually really like. I'm even okay with sexy anime in theory - but this (nowadays very prominent) quasi-pedophilic otaku bait just creeps me out a bit.

Yes, I understand the socio-economic context of why this stuff is made and consumed in Japan to begin with, and even have theories as to why so much of it is getting official english localizations as of late.

But I don't want to think or talk about it anymore. If other people want to buy this, then go ahead, have fun. I'm sure this'll be $14.99 well spent.

Unfortunately this kinda ignorance is pretty common. Find any japanese romance VN on steam and guaranteed they'll be some cunt on the discussion forum saying that the game is for pedos because to him the characters look underage.

Not to necro this thread (but kinda). I guess, that debate was already had so not to (completely) start it again. I'm interested in the mix of dungeon crawling with a bit of a Persona vibe, but I'm really not into that character design and what comes with it. I saw people praise this for "not being censored" somewhere. However, I actually would prefer to not have some stuff in there. Can I at least turn off that "purge"/rub down mechanic, or is that mandatory for this game?

Well, I would, but subforums on GOG can be really inactive, with replies sometimes taking weeks or months.

If you don't want to purge with the rubbing mini-game, then you don't have to play the rubbing mini-game. There are other ways to purge besides that.

However, even with that being so, if you are of a Puritan-style mindset, then you might not like the game anyway, because the characters have very suggestive voice lines, which they moan & scream out in a very sexualized manner, and all of which is an integral part of the aural soundscape of the game.

And likewise, they wear very feminine & revealing clothing...and even less so when they transform into their crazy she-beast form, during which time they are pseudo-naked (but having said that, it's still an M-rated game and not an AO-rated one, so there is no X-rated content anywhere in the game, neither with the rubbing mini-game, nor anywhere else).
