idbeholdME: Or just use the linked mod from the 2nd post and you won't have to pretend. That's the beauty of them, everyone can get as close to their desired experience as possible with mods. As long as they are not hosted on a site with.... authoritarian tendencies shall we say *coughcoughNexusModscoughcough* that try to dictate how people are allowed to enjoy games.

avatar
Syphon72: I'm surprised that mod is not removed or something.
avatar
idbeholdME: It absolutely would be, were it hosted somewhere else (see above).
Well, I look at games like this similar to a book or film. Even if I don't like the decisions made and even if I can remove them somehow, they are the cannon direction of the story. It still affects my attachment to the overall story.

Maybe that's my problem, I became too attached to begin with, lol.

Edit: Can't type today.

Always great to see a big release DRM-free. Let's keep up the fight!

AdastAdamov: What idiot did that?
Same idiot who made the nazi patch I guess.

dtgreene: Why would you want to *remove* dialog options?
Because they loooove censorship.

I get that. Personally , I also never use mods on a first playthrough and try to go as vanilla as possible. But if somebody wouldn't play a game for whatever reason and there is a mod to fix that, the option existing is always a plus.

So, the GOG version does not have the Lions Crest Quest?

Any specific info about this DLC?

No, there was no possibility for preorder. However, in general "cutting out content" for anyone not buying it at the release i always consider a dirty practice; yet very common on "bigger" titles. Sometimes it might become added or available for purchase at a later point but this is not granted.

It's here, separately, for $5: Kingdom Come: Deliverance II - The Lion's Crest

Ah, okay... so at least we are able to get a "complete version", at a bonus price; fair enough.

As i see it, if someone want to get the "complete version" they will have to buy Gold Edition + Lions Crest Quest, if i am correct.

Soundtrack is sold separately as well, just not sure if it is the full soundtrack with less than 50 tracks.

I would not call it a bargain but at least we seem to be able to get all the bells and whistles with this version!

Still checking out what i "have" to pay as "Croc" (i assume price is around 30, still no clue) is as well coming soon, so it need some maths.

1. https://www.gog.com/en/game/kingdom_come_deliverance_ii_gold_edition = 90.95
2. https://www.gog.com/en/game/kingdom_come_deliverance_ii_the_lions_crest = 5.90
3. https://www.gog.com/en/game/kingdom_come_deliverance_ii_soundtrack = 11.50

Total = 108.35 = USD 122.93

Seems quite expensive in your currency Xeshra. In Euro it is 94.97 for everything (which is ~100USD)

xmoucheron: the game is available 2 month after release on steam platform.

No offer for gog user who must wait it 2 months.

No purchase in this condition.
Its honestly hilarious/ridiculous to me that you think a 2 month delay is some long painful wait to play a game after release. People have been waiting YEARS for this game to come out at all, 2 months ain't shit in the overall wait for the game.
Also, how much of a discount were you expecting anyway? The biggest discount has been like 10% off ($6) and the biggest discount now is 5% off ($3.)
If price is the thing you care about the most ( instead of supporting DRM -free big game releases and sending a message that DRM free can still lead to sales), then just buy somewhere else. I don't know why you are on gog though.

Ooooof that's so expensive. The first game was soooo good, it was a challenge, especially with the saving mechanics, and frustrating at times, but also so immersive and the story was really engaging and I'm dying to find out what happens next!

But nooo, why does it cost this much? :( I think I'll be waiting for a sale in a few years...

The gold edition includes all the DLC so of course it's gonna be pricier, but you can always buy the season pass further down the line if it interests you (the content isn't even available yet, it could be worth it or not)

blotunga: Nice, too bad it's a bit late and some friends already gifted it to me on Steam last month. But in a couple of years I might buy it to have it backed up offline :D
avatar
Xeshra: Looking at the price, you got "good" friends.
Indeed, and they bought me the Gold. It was for my birthday.

Breja: [...] Wait a year [...] and buy a complete edition of an actually finished game at discount.
But don't wait more than (at most) five years, because there could well be a "remaster" by or after that point that bundles some non-optional gameplay/interface/[etc.] changes with the inevitable graphical "upgrades" (related to a new console generation), and which replaces the original-version downloads entirely. =)
