Jazz up your collection.

Jazz Jackrabbit: The Complete Collection and Jazz Jackrabbit 2: The Complete Collection are now available DRM-free on GOG.com with a 10% launch discount until December 7, 2PM UTC. Or get them together with Epic Pinball for a neat 25% discount.
He's green, he's lean, he's got some crazy speed: Jazz Jackrabbit, the intergalactic lagomorph with the red bandana and gung-ho attitude is back, exclusively on GOG.com. Both of his bombastic outings were hailed as platform shooter classics back when they were first unleashed upon the world, partly thanks to their tight mechanics and vibrant visuals and partly for their swanky protagonist and addictive soundtrack.

The GOG.com edition of Jazz Jackrabbit 2 can also come pre-bundled with the incredible JJ2+ mod. Packing years of dedication from the Jazz Jackrabbit community, expanded multiplayer features and game modes, tons of fixes, as well as tools to play (and create) the huge library of community-made content.
Download Jazz Jackrabbit 2 with the JJ2+ mod through the Beta Channels feature in GOG Galaxy or by grabbing the appropriate offline installers directly from your GOG.com account.
You can find more about Beta branches here.

If you're looking for an extra dose of platforming and pinball goodness, check out our Special Sale - but be quick, it ends December 1st, 11PM UTC!
Don't know if that has been addressed or not : in the first game there is a point in a level (with a bluish tileset similar to this store screenshot) with a bunch of sequential trampolines separated by large vertical walls with one horizontal passage in each to move from one trampoline to the next. There's an oversight in the design of that level which resulted in it being close to impossible to complete that trampoline part. You needed to hit an incredibly small sweet spot to get past. Got till there and gave up after I don't know how many tries.

Anyone remember this or know whether or not it has been addressed in a patch / later version of the game?

tfishell: Is this here?

"Jazz Jackrabbit 2: Holiday Hare 98"
Jazz Jackrabbit 2 Collection includes:
Jazz Jackrabbit 2 - The Secret Files
Jazz Jackrabbit 2 - The Christmas Chronicles
The Christmas Chronicles is the third re-release of Jazz Jackrabbit 2, following Jazz Jackrabbit 2: Holiday Hare 98 (1998) and Jazz Jackrabbit 2: The Secret Files (1999). Exclusive to Europe, it is largely an enhanced version of Holiday Hare ’98 that was exclusive to the US, but uses the v1.24 engine of the game as featured in The Secret Files instead of v1.23.

It contains all the levels, tile sets and music from Holiday Hare '98, but adds Lori Jackrabbit as a new playable character, the sister of Jazz and Spaz. Lori debuted in The Secret Files. It also includes JCS (Jazz Creation Station), the official Jazz Jackrabbit 2 level editor. It supports local and online multiplayer games. Due to the publisher's bankruptcy, it was originally only released in Poland and later in small quantities in other European countries.

tinyE: I vaguely remember someone coming in a few weeks ago and having a fit about these not being here, trying to convince everyone that GOG was forcing us to pirate these games.

I guess they listened to him. :P

yellowblanka: And I'll bet that same person is now one of the people bitching about the price in the reviews.
FWIW, the retail versions of JJ2 that arrived in my area did come with a free copy of Jazz CD (and those that didn't included an apology card with a URL for downloading the game from Epic's web site).

Because my copy of JJ2 is in storage, at the moment, I may purchase these updated versions later on.

Those of you who 'bit the bullet', however, are in for a real treat (thanks, especially, to the multiplayer). ^_^

Thank you, Epic & GOG, for bringing these badass bunnies back.

pmcollectorboy: These ARE games people play. Have you seen the state of the industry? Modern games are fucking it up.
All the more reason to support indie developers and sites like GOG - It shouldn't take another crash to awaken the industries at (way too) large.

Thank you, GOG!
I've been waiting years for these two gems to release here :)

Is it a normal issue that JJ2+ only makes The Secret Files and Homecooked Levels available in singleplayer mode?

I've checked it and it should work normally (with all episodes in SP mode) if you'll install both "original" JJ2 and version with JJ2+ in the same folder.
I have bought it! Thank you!
Woohoo! I've been waiting forever for this day! Thanks GOG. :)

What´s wrong with that? They aren´t dissing it, they´re praising it.
This whole site was founded on nostalgia.

I hope you´re not one of those people who would merit old games by today´s standards.

I do and some still hold up pretty well in spite of certain flaws - others not so much.

Anachronism all the way.
