UPDATE: Want to get a taste of organic alien debris (eww)? Download the free, Windows only demo and show those invaders what they're made of!

Infinium Strike, a tactical tower-defense where you give the alien scum a taste of their own organic medicine, is available now for Windows, Mac, and Linux, DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 15% launch discount.

Our space expansion efforts were going reeeal peachy until an alien armada, called the Wrog, showed up and started wiping out Earth's thriving colonies with their advanced organic ships. It took humanity a while to get over the shock and regroup, but in 2170 we finally managed to put together a super-weapon of our own: the massive battlecarrier Freedom Strike. Now let's see how these galactic bullies will do against its interchangeable turrets, SuperTech abilities, and specialized drones! Go ahead and blast wave after wave of Wrog ships, then salvage the alien wreckage for the living metal Infinium and repurpose it to enhance your gargantuan battlecarrier. Punish the invaders both through the full campaign and in the arcade mode that will make you a leaderboard legend. Taste some organic metal, you extraterrestrial filth!

Prepare your Infinium Strike DRM-free on GOG.com. The 15% launch discount will last until July 21,
4:59 PM UTC.

JudasIscariot: Demo's live :)
Nice. Its a fun little game, good the demo is added.

While you are at it: Could somebody paint "elricgog" & "SRPattison" gold? They still look like the rest of us unwashed commoners :P

Unless they are posing as devs and are not real one. Then ban them to hell. But my gut tells me they are legit.
Should the game and its demo really qualify for the 'Buy series - complete it' feature?
More demos = more good.

You can smile now, you've been sherbet-ised. :)
:-D

On a sadder note: I cannot manage to download the demo in one piece. Maybe GOG servers congested at the moment as I am having problems with other games too but not GIMP (just to check that the problem was not on my end + I did not have the latest version).

Developer - the price is a bit steep for a tower defence game, I'm sorry kid but the way my economy is going *down the proverbial toilet*

Pass

20 USD = 40 AUD that is WAY TOO Steep no way!

Australia's currency is F***ed

Only problem i have with this game is the lack of multi-player.

Most Tower Defence games focus on playing against your friends, so what happens when playing against the AI get predictable?

Single-player only could really kill the replay value of this game... unless they plan to release a ton of DLC.

mqstout: I need to start a new GOGmix, if there isn't already: "Games that let you remap keys, EXCEPT that silly WASD nonsense."

Emailed the devs to see if they'll let those be remapped like every other keybinding can be... Two games I got from GOG this summer so far that way!

SRPattison: While the WASD keys are not able to be re-bound in the control options, the arrow keys and 2/4/6/8 (num lock off) perform the same function without changing any settings. :)
I am SICK to death of this shit! just because Josh Hathoway / Halloway Immortalised wasd doesn't mean EVERYONE USES IT using WASD HURTS MY HANDS I am Disabled it would be Like me FORCING people to use my preferences DON'T DO IT!

I use Right mouse button to move forwards I've been doing that since quake 2

Key A for ducking

Keys S and F for strafing Left and Right

Key D for down or Moving backwards

key G for grenades or other shooting gun

Key R for Reload (who doesn't)

Key C for Melee

Key Caps Lock for Aiming / Zooming in

And the good news is: You do not need to :)

Its for zooming and paning around the ship. Make it look glorious shooting in all directions. For actual turret placement or other combat decommissions I'd even suggest to not use WASD. Main control would be to click the side of the ship where portals pop and place turrets which can done with shortcuts or just mouse clicking.

Oh thank christ!
The much I like it that GOG adds more and more demos for their games I do not like the way they do it. You have to add the demo to your account to get access to it, that's annoying.
