Hitman: Absolution & Hitman: Blood Money are now available DRM-free. Get Hitman series 75% off until April 11th, 1pm UTC.

Money talks. Silence pays. Prepare to make a killing and follow the story of Hitman: Blood Money. When assassins from Agent 47's contract agency, The ICA, are eliminated in a series of hits, it seems a larger, more powerful agency has entered the fray. Sensing he may be a target, 47 travels to America, and prepares to make a killing.

Hitman: Absolution follows the Original Assassin undertaking his most personal contract to date. Betrayed by the Agency and hunted by the police, Agent 47 finds himself pursuing redemption in a corrupt and twisted world.
Awesome! Strong start for gog releases this year. I really hope they continue this momentum, just great games after great games and not a long drought between them.
Ok GOG, you've got my attention. I wasn't expecting you to follow up blizzard releases with anything good, but you did.

I sure hope you can keep the momentum going this time.

Welcome, forty-seven!

A word from IOI officials on their release :

https://www.ioi.dk/hitman-gog/

"We are happy to announce that Hitman: Blood Money and Hitman: Absolution are now available on GOG.com!

Whether you’ve played these in the past, or are new to the HITMAN franchise, these two games paved the way for the more recent HITMAN games, and made IO Interactive into what we are today.

FAQ:

What has been done to enhance the tech specs?

Nothing.

But didn’t consoles recently get a HD Remaster? Why don’t we get that?

Correct. PCs have been able to keep up with modern technical demands of the HD Remaster for a while. The GOG versions of both Hitman: Blood Money and Hitman: Absolution are capable of running in 4K 60fps, matching the HD Remaster, even on modest PCs.

Contracts Mode: Where is it? Why is it gone?

Ever since the change to remove contracts mode from Absolution was forced upon us due to GDPR rules and the fact that we do not have ownership of the Absolution Contracts Mode servers, we’ve been looking into ways to restore it. We will continue to investigate other possibilities, but we can’t promise anything specific at this point in time."

Ancient-Red-Dragon: Can anyone who knows for sure please confirm whether or not the GOG version of Hitman 2: Silent Assassin is that same censored version?
avatar
armitom: Yes, Hitman 2 Silent Assassin on GOG is uncensored, the steam version and the retail version if patched (1.02) is censored.

FYI. All the Contracts Mode content/DLC is currently completely useless, none of the DLCs (Uniforms,Weapons, etc) are usable in the Offline Campaign. I have the game on steam and it won't even allow you to enter the contracts menu because the servers don't exist(and chances are they won't be back), so you can't even play around with the mode offline.

Long story short, contracts mode for Absolution is dead, been dead for more than a year now, and probably won't be returning back, you can't play the mode offline on steam so in the long run the GOG version isn't really missing anything.

Whats actually missing here is the Sniper Challenge standalone game that's included with each purchase of Absolution on steam, would be nice if they added it as an "extra" in Absolution.
Thanks for sharing! Solid FYI for this game.

At least they're still trying. Could someone clarify, is the content that was unlocked from Contracts mode(?) still present in the single player game or is it also locked out?

It would be nice if their FAQ would address why they are not bothering to give GOG customers Achievements for Absolution, or better yet, if they were to promise that they are going to do so in the near future.

Wow!!! Thank You so much GoG and IO-Interactive!!! This is totally awesome! I love Hitman Bloodmoney! You have so many different ways to take on a scenario that makes it's replay value just well worth it.

This is an INSTA-BUY for me. Now my life would be complete with Tomb Raider: Underworld / Legend / Anniversary.

GoG is the BEST!!!

Thanks for sharing this.
It's been quite a few years since I last played Blood Money. Bought it, installed it and beat it on the same day in just over 3 hours. Good times!

I'm now about an hour into Absolution - which I hadn't played before. And it's genuinely awful so far. I'm happy that I was able to tone down the garish graphics by disabling the 15000 filters. Because hey, who'd think that having 47's bald head cast a lens flare so strong you'd think he has a spotlight growing out of his forehead was a stupid idea. But the gameplay is where it's really lacking. They went from huge sprawling levels to walking down a 50 meter corridor. It has CINEMATIC TAKEDOWNS! And it breaks my heart to see that they hired great actors like Powers Boothe (RIP) to deliver the kind of rubbish their writers came up with. I'm all for dropping F-bombs, but here they actually managed to make it sound embarassing and juvenile. Just like the entire game so far. I'll keep playing, but so far it shapes up to be a rock solid 1 out of 5 title.

darthspudius: haha fair. Should try it again and see how far you get. I didn't last long.

It's not bad at all. Other than the odd check point system, it's a very well put together game. A lot of the kills etc are great fun.

Evixios: I agree with the above, its good for what it wanted to do. Also still looks pretty neat with all graphical settings at maximum. Not everybody liked the more linear 'story' approach, which meant some levels did not have targets to assasinate. They where more about getting from A to B evading bad guys/cops. But in all aspects, even those levels using all the hitman mechanics were well rounded and fun to play. Earlier I was kind of bummed to see some content removed but I guess that's just what it is. It still a solid game in any case.

I would've killed to see Blood Money levels remastered in engine they used back then, and I still would with the current HITMAN. Just hope we will see the newer ones on GOG in the near future as well.
What gets me most about Absolution is the fact that "fans" are such drama queens about it. When they state their opinion, it's always so over the top that it's impossible to take them seriously. The game isn't perfect but it's far from bad or even average. It set out to do something different and did just that. I don't see why fans expect the exact same game time and again. It's literally too much of a god thing, as I have found out with the last two games.

Attention Linux users, who still hesitate.
There is Linux wrapper prepared by adamhm as mentioned here. It offers worry-free installation and user experience close to native GOG installer. Highly recommend!
Aaaand.... bought.

Now I can finally also give a rest to my DVD collection of the older Hitman games, as it included also Blood Money which was missing from GOG.

Yes please, ludicrous they're not here as they were sold DRM free via SE own store a few year back.

I'd like TR 2012 here too
Damn unfortuantly I just picked up Blood Money in the most recent sale that IO did on Steam. (Complete the Series thing)
i'm pretty sure main menu music is missing from absolution & sniper challenge. & since io reworked the videos with their logos & the main menu, i'm pretty sure they can add offline profiles and competition between profiles like the steam version with friends
