Europe goes to war.

Cossacks II Anthology, a grand strategy inspired by historical events, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 60% launch discount.

Our fair planet has never lacked for mass-scale conflict, but the 19th century European wars were truly a sight to behold. The nations of France, Russia, Prussia, Austria, Egypt, Duchy of Warsaw, Confederation of the Rhine, and Great Britain got locked in an extensive series of conflicts that forever changed the shape and power balance in the continent. As a commanding general of one of the warring nations, you will take control of massive armies and try to neutralize the enemy forces in real-time combat before they can fight back. As you rise in ranks, more and more types of troops will become available, and if you feel like re-creating some of history's most iconic skirmishes, like the Battle of Austerlitz or the Battle of Ulm, this is your chance to see how you'd fare, general.

Re-write european history and lead your huge armies to victory in the European battlefields of Cossacks II Anthology, DRM-free on GOG.com.
The 60% discount will last for the duration of the Back to School Sale.

tinyE: Is this as totally unbelievably ridiculously as impossible as Cossacks 1? :P
Even harder! :P

GOG, where's my *NEW* button on the frontpage?! :P

shit

and god knows I am probably going to buy it.

Cossacks 1 was the only game I ever had to use a cheat with, and that was only to remove the fog of war so I could see down the coastline.

Seriously, what kind of a sick game makes you account for EVERY BULLET!?!? :P

Lemme know if it works properly on Win 8.1 or Win10, ok?

The game is awesome, as opposed to Cossacks 1, it properly uses formations now and unit morale which is probably the most important thing in this game.

Being strategically placed with loaded guns is awesome.

Sadly, cannons aren't that useful because they are slow as hell and barely do any damage most of the time.

I don't have win 8 or 10.

And to think that the ukrainian devs showed the game's awesomeness to Blizzard -if I'm not wrong- to showcase the astonishing number of concurent units on screen and they laughed about it, huh?
Never played the game back in the day. Any pro and cons about this one?

Pros are definitely wonderful amateur reconstruction group videos in the corner of the screen! :D
For a split second I thought it was Cossacks 3 being released here on GOG but no. I have played this one too little to really judge it properly( so here is some rope.)

There still seem to be many bugs and problems with Cossacks 3 judging from the Steam reviews. So there is no problem that Cossacks 3 in not released now in my opinion. ;)

keeveek: Does it work properly? Because with Steam version I have very slow performance that makes playing virtually impossible.

Was this problem fixed?

Do the videos work properly too?

If this was updated and fixed, I would buy right away. I just need to know for sure.
yea im a bit unsure as well since steam's version is all sorts of buggy and can't even run reviews. but ill probable just chance it
Well so far I can't even start the game in win7, I get a runtime error.

ehhh... can anyone from the staff verify what (if any) changes and updates were made to guarantee the game to run on new systems, including windows 10?
I could make it run on my Mac with Wine. Only problem is that the framerate drops extremely when it comes to shooting.
