Achronos100: Hey, when Hearts of Stone was released and we had purchased the expansion pass, we could still get the physical items of the special edition (primarily Gwent cards) by ordering them specially. Does anyone know if it'll be the same with this release?
Yep. If you preordered the expansion pass digitally you can obtain the limited edition Gwent decks separately by going to http://www.redeemgwent.com/

Hmm, the site refers to "the physical Gwent deck sets released so far"... I hope that means the Skellige deck is getting a physical release as well. Or maybe I'm just reading too much into it.

Fenixp: That sounds... Unlikely, source?
I'm not sure if you have already figured this out...
But in some German interview one quest designer stated the recommended level would be around 35, so, entirely doable, especially when doing HoS beforehand ;)

Crosmando: Do you already get this if you bought the season pass thing? It's whited out when I put it in my cart so I guess so?
Yes. Check out the Witcher 3 in your account. The DLC download section should look like you can see in the attachment.

LOL, attachment button does not work. I thought that forum bug was squashed ages ago.
Hope there will be some available through J!NX again like last time. I bought the Expansion pass, so I'd like a chance to get the cards without shelling out $40 more.

EDIT: Nevermind, I see that they are doing it again. :D

Well, you know, it would still be a relatively good deal.
there's bound to be patches needed for the w3 /free dlc/ HoS in anticipation of the release. can we get this prior to the release date? i don't want to download 10gb near launch. i'd rather pace the download.

Tarhiel: I had the same problem unitl quite recently ;)
How did you solve it? I could use a good recommendation on a sensibly priced gaming PC. :)

Oh, uh... mine was anything but sensibly priced, but it is exactly as I wanted it to be - I have already wrote you my specs in the last PM :)
I am not that good with various parts of PC and what is compatible with what, my friend build it for me (he picked the parts, did some calculations on how strong source I should buy and we ordered it online all from one local IT e-store and they build it instead of him - better that way for warranty reasons, although he was looking for it).

That being said, would you like to make a custom build or buy some already build computer?
Everybody from my surroundings, who´s skill and opinion on computers I value, discouraged me from buying already build computers, gaming or not, and rather pick different parts myself, with their advice.

That´s the best recommendation I can give you (and I know it´s not much).

Ah, that's right, you did send me the breakdown of your new machine. Sorry, it's been a hectic couple of months here. :)

I have thought about build a system up from scratch myself. I know it's far more economical, and you have better quality control over each part. Maybe I will do that for my next PC, it sounds kind of fun as well. Thanks again for the info you shared with me!

As long as your CPU isn't too ancient, the most significant upgrade for me was going from a 5+ year old Radeon 5750 to a GeForce GTX 750Ti. Pretty cheap and made a massive difference. For example, I was lucky to get 15 fps at 720p in W3, but now I can happily play at 1080p where everything is smooth.

I run with an AMD Phenom II 955BE, which is pretty outdated as far as the current state of the art goes.

That's good advice, and something I've done with systems before. I would need to check if my CPU is worth tacking a new card onto. Probably need to replacing the power supply with a beefier one as well, I've had to do that before too.
Kudos, CDPR, it looks gorgeous. Always loved the Toussaint part of the books; I'll get this expansion, too, hopefully I'll be able to play all of Witcher 3 at some point.

(It does me no good to repeat it to myself, but I gotta say it: I need a new PC. ;_; )
