Speaking of Atari - any news on the still absent content updates for the Atari 50th Anniversary Collection, as well as the missing titles from the Recharged series of remakes?

Atleast for the collection it was confirmed by Atari they completely abandoned the Gog version of it siting technical problems with updating and adding dlc with them ,

while siting it being the fault of Digital Eclipse and well this kind of excuse seems to be common with all games digital eclipse is involved with in some manner on the drm-free versions getting support dropped quickly and no dlcs or updates alot with just siting ''technical difficulties'' while the drmed versions get the updates and dlcs just fine.. I don't think the recharged games we ever got word on

Also missing are the Mac versions for the Recharged games that are already here, while they happily provide them even on Epic.

As far as the Atari 50 DLC is concerned, I've pretty much given up on that. To add insult to injury they even have a NAMCO pack in the pipeline that is unlikely to come here.

Piracy is a service problem? You better fucking believe it! *grumbles mightily* Better think twice before buying anything from Atari/Digital Eclipse. =/

Technical problems my ass. They just don't want to put the extra work in - while somehow miraculously being able to update every other version available - but they're fine still selling an incomplete product here. Fuck them. As much as I like their gold master series, they're on my blacklist now.

At the very least evidence shows its just Digital Eclipse who one needs to avoid and blacklist , heck as much as I hate Disney I buy what they put out here even when not interested as a sort of reward do to they basically forced things along when Digital Eclipse was getting in the way of the Disney classic collection dlc with Digital Eclipse siting the same excuse So Disney pulled the old version released a new verson with the dlc baked in and if I recall right for owners of the old version here a permanent discount that made the new version for owners cost the same as the Dlc does elsewhere .

This Atari could atleast do similar

But ya Digital Eclipse no company or Studio/Dev should work with them as DE are clearly trash that treat drm-free releases as a way to get people to get a drmed version for a complete and supported product

So ya DE is a bad image and bad pr for any company/studio or dev at this time to work with till DE stops this bad practice

Considering that it took a couple years for missing (content) updates to be provided for a few other titles the missing Atari 50 add-ons could still arrive here one of these days, despite Atari/Digital Eclipse having seemingly abandoned the GoG version, for the time being at least.

gamescom's around the corner, and maybe there'll also be opportunities for GoG to hash things out in person in the bizdev area, not just in regards to the Atari 50 missing updates issue but others on the list as well.

This was different cases they all never offical dropped support nor sited''technical difficulties'' as a excuse while updating and adding dlcs elsewhere .. Add to both sides said bluntly they would not put any dlcs or updates here for the collection nor a version with the cont baked in .. So its pretty much hopeless unless Atari and DE has a massive shake up in people running things and even then doubtful .. But regardless Digital Eclipse should be blacklisred from any drm-free gamers list of companies/studio's/devs to get games for untill they prove trustworthy on the drm side of things as I can only find once case they seem trustworthy on drm-free games they have been involved in
