Tarnicus: I've just had a house inspection, so please forgive the unusual tidiness of my desk and computer area.

Matewis: Phew thank you! - I was starting to worry that I might be the only one with a messy desk :)
Mine is that messy that I could turn that photo into a hidden object game :)

Charon121: There's a normal-sized subwoofer below.
Ah ok, obviously I missed that. Just goes to show how out of touch I'm with modern audio technology, expecting to see two big speakers on the sides of the monitor in order to get the bass thumping.

I guess I'm restricted to "multimedia speakers" for the most part, as I like to move them around with my laptops etc. So no big subwoofers for me, besides my TV maybe (and even there I currently have a soundbar without a separate subwoofer).

I can't take a picture of my gaming station right now, I'll just share a pic of my old gaming station, my past self included.
But since we're at GOG here, it shouldn't be that inappropriate.

At least the monitor didn't change that much, although one doesn't need to fear the neck pain anymore.
Remains me of watching Harry Potter in the cinemas first row, I thought I would never be able to move my head again.
...Even though that's not my current gaming station, I still have the feeling everyone is some eras ahead of me xD
Also, I'm impressed that some of you have multiple screens or multiple speekers.. *mind explodes from multifunctional futuristic overload*

That was my first thought seeing that photo! I've caused myself enough neck and back issues from using a monitor that wasn't at an optimal angle for extended sitting.

Edit: I forgot to add a photo of my gaming "side table" that is imperative to playing.

Maighstir: This is mine.

Matewis: Cool desk lamp, I really need to get myself one of those. Also, you need to up your game with the disassembled cellphone on your desk :) I have two gutted Lumias on mine:

One has water damage and the other has a messed up charger. I'm hoping to somehow replace the damaged part of the charger with that of the water damaged one, but I don't have the tools at the moment.
I'm trying to get the phone repaired too, though most likely through Jolla's official repair service as parts aren't all too common for that phone as it's not hugely popular.
I have yet to see any of you post a pic with a fucking cat asleep on the keyboard whole you are trying to play a game. Am I the only one who has that problem? :P

That actually reminded me that when I placed the bowl on the desk to look cool, Taco immediately thought it was hers and hopped on my lap. She is normally nearby when I play too. :)

I don't have a cat. Or a dog. Or any other kind of animal, not counting myself.

She doesn't sleep on the computer, but in front of it while I play, typically on my arms. Here i'm trying to play Rift. Old system and old apt.

Now I'm curious: What's with the plastic sheets hanging down the shelves?

What's with the red visor on the keyboard? Is it for playing Virtual Boy games or something? :P

muntdefems: Well, Matewis has already shown us his/her hand lotion dispenser... :P
avatar
Matewis: lol, it's actually a foamy cleaner dispenser thing for cleaning your hands, useful for when my hands get sweaty during the summer months:
Yep... :P

I'm too lazy to take a picture of my gaming/work station right now but here's an "old" (few months old) picture of my casual laptop when I stop working in my "office" and casually play games on my laptop or compose at night right on my dining table.... :o)
