Hey folks,

Wanted to say hi and see if our developer credentials work. I also couldn't find any topic for our upcoming game Planet Nomads, so I wanted to create the first one, hope I can make the topic game specific somehow.

Now what's Planet Nomads?

A sci-fi sandbox game taking place on procedurally generated planets with multiple biomes, where building is key to survival. Also making smart moves.

The game is coming to GOG on 18th April as Game in Development. You'll find a lot about the game on Planet Nomads official website, (new one in the making), the legacy announcement trailer (making a new one too!) and our vision for the game on last year's Kickstarter. Sorry it seems we can't post links just yet, so googling it is.

We're also doing monthly video devlogs on Youtube.

The game has been in alpha since August 2016, and we're now going to have a major update (this Thursday) with overall graphics polish and survival finally. It's going to be a rough version, but with the help of our Alpha Nomads, we're going to have a stable release in April.

Cheers,
Daniel

Craneballs: Hey folks,
Welcome to gog :)

Had my eyes on the game when it was first announced here. I see it has 3rd person view (yeay :) ), does it has a form of character creation, customization, male/female player characters?

Oh, do you name your character? NMS automatically names them after the account they are bought from which is kind of an immersion downer.

Is mod support planned?

While I'm at NMS; excuse the comparisons, but its kind of about exploring (multible planets?) with being big on procedual too; so what would you name as the 5 major distinct differences to NMS?

That would be great, but maybe without making a direct comparison to NMS (by its gameplay)? I haven't played that and I wouldn't have any real comparison. Perhaps explain the "sandbox" aspect as it pertains to Planet Nomads? I don't really know what that means, and it might be distinctly expressed in Planet Nomads differently than other games.

Hi welcome to gog. I loved what i say on your website so have already pre ordered the game through there. One quick question will you have female player characters and is there much customisation of characters? Ok thats two questions :)

Hope the game does well for you and looking forward to it.

You could try setting quotes around the website if the forum software won't let you post it:

Good luck, and thanks for the release date! (Not sure if it was public knowledge or had a specific release date yet).
It looks pretty nice. Wishlisted.
I hope it will have some sort of plot/quest and won't just be another Minecraft/Terraria dig'em-up.
Please GoG, for me, when this comes out have the bolded tagline be "Legos... in... SpaaaAaaaAaace."

Or do you get C&Ded if you say Legos?

As official channel? They most likely will. Lego IS a world wide known brand after all; not a general term like "connectable blocks".
I have been looking forward to this game since I noticed it the first time in the "upcoming games" session (somehow, I missed it completely before).
I find it intriguing and full of potential: I really hope it delivers! I always wanted a game like this. Good luck for the launch to you, developers!
I appreciate you appearing on the forums ! :)
Welcome to GOG.
Imagine yourself in the shoes of a lone scientist crash-landing on an unknown alien planet full of dangers to avoid and secrets to be uncovered. Building useful things is your only hope for survival. Use your wit and the hi-tech tools salvaged from the ship-wreck.
Is it just me or does it sounds familiar?
