WinterSnowfall: Something very odd is going on with offline installers... seems like last Friday the ghosts of GOGBears past have invaded the GOG servers and have reissued some ancient offline installer versions to replace the later versions...

It strikes me as very odd. For example Hollow Knight got demoted to version 1.3.1.5 for some reason (from the previous 1.5.78.11833a), and it's only one of many...

Happy me to have offline backups of everything, I guess.
Yeah something is definitely wrong. Just noticed that with trails into daybreak. The offline installers were version 1.4.0 and got reverted to 1.3.5 while the Galaxy version is still 1.4.0

I just checked randomly Baldur's gate 2 EE and I noticed the game has the same issue. The 2.6.6.0 installer is missing and instead there is an 2.3.67.3(A) installer which is like 5-6 years old version. I used to play BG2 on this version many many years ago. Its strange that there is another offline installer for the same version of the game but different size. I don't know what is going...
What I'm seeing if I check GOGDB are version numbers being deleted and then restored, bonuses removed and readded, and installers occasionally replaced with what seem to be much larger ones and then restored. But I checked a game I had, Might and Magic 7, which at this point has had the English installer restored but the French and Dutch ones still at what GOGDB lists as a double size. Yet when I looked in the library, I saw two separate files for the French and Dutch installers, the first being the proper one, but when I tried to download the second, I got an XML error file stating that it doesn't exist, and the file name had a (g) at the end, which makes me think that the Galaxy installer ended up being shown along with the offline one.

This also happened with Battle Brothers. Doubling in size and ostensibly being labelled as an ancient version, whilst apparently still being the most recent version when actually installed. Does anyone happen to know what exactly is going on? I'm quite interested to know, now.
Can someone please inform GOG and open a support ticket?
-> Hollow Knight + Baldurs Gate II EE + ..

(Old and outdated offline installers problem)
Diluvian offline is v1.17.96 as far as I can see. But atleast a year or longer there exists a galaxy version higher.

Not sure if anyone cares.

It's been happening since at least the 15th. I first noticed it with "beer!".

The Windows installer had been downgraded from 31 to 8 (NO, I was NOT confusing it with the mac build).

I reported it and it was fixed, but it's clearly widespread.

Is it a problem specific to Windows builds of games? It seems the Linux builds I use are unaffected.
The games, I know about, are for Windows (Windows builds).
The Windows versions are outdated (big time) !

edit: the problem seems to be fixed, now. :)

Issue should be fixed now.
