dr.schliemann: A new
Indiana Jones game
in collaboration with
Lucasfilm Games.
What happened to LucasArts?
What's the reason behind using the old name that was changed to avoid confusion with film productions?
Sulibor: Consumer friendly monetization expert?
That is oxymoron.
Sadly it looks like it will be action game. I had some hopes when I saw Machine Games behind it (Wolfenstains were really well made and interesting games) but monetization aspect doesn't bode well.
Not that I support such practices, there are ways to be consumer friendly and still have something to make money with.
Let's say they create a DLC that changes the protagonist from Indiana Jones to Darth Vader. I'm sure many would buy it just for the fun factor of having Darth Vader doing all kinds of whip acrobatics in the game. But it wouldn't matter if you just bought the base game alone, because such DLCs are basically useless.
It's Disney, so they could offer all kinds of crazy DLCs from Mickey Mouse to Pinocchio.
Maybe they won't do any of that, but there are ways to do things like that. If they go for something like buying health restore with real money, that's another story then. That would be simply disrespectful towards fans.
