I am new to GOG.com. I just purchased Neverwinter Nights and don't know how to download it into my computer. Do I need GOG Galaxy to play it? Please help.
Go to https://www.gog.com/account click on the game and you'll get links.

edit:
You don't need Galaxy but if you want you may use old gog downloader

the gog downloader links are hidden behind a menu though
click on the game you bought then click on the downpointing arrow
and then click on gog downloader links

gog really wants you to use galaxy

but you do NOT need it to download or play games
It never ceases to amaze how newcomers such as the OP cannot figure out where to find and download their purchased games, but they have no trouble locating the forums and creating a new thread.

On-topic: what mike_cesara said. Just download your games directly from GOG's website and forget about clients. You'll be happier.

People do take time to change, and you must realise many pretty much hate(d) you for how you acted, but with enough time even they may grow a kinder disposition towards you.

I commend you on switching your displayed behaviour as quickly as you did, but that doesn't mean others will as well, and I don't think they're at much fault for keeping a grudge.

Chill guys, it wouldn't hurt to at least try to make a good impression on newcomers.

To the OP, just to add a bit more to the first two replies, while games can be downloaded through Galaxy, GOG also provides links to just straight up .exe installers (for larger games there's usually one .exe installer, plus several .bin files you also need to download). Also, once you download the installer you can just keep a copy saved for if you ever need to install it again- these installers require no internet connection or verification of any kind (DRM free), so once you have the installer you'll be able to use it forever regardless of whether GOG is still around or not.

This FAQ links will explain things in details. Have fun playing the game :)

Galaxy is a Steam-like client that is supposed to make downloading and playing easier for average users. It is still beta though and therefore quite buggy so I recommend you don't use Galaxy.

The good thing about GOG is that you don't need any client to download and play your games. When you are logged in you only need to click on the account button on the top right to get to your library. There you will find an overview of all games that you have bought so far as well as some games that you get for free when you sign up.

Just click on the game you wish to download to get a list of all download links. On the right side you have download links for all the extras (manual, soundtrack, wallpapers, or whatever comes with the game) and on the left side are the download links for the installer. Just click on the links to download the game.

When the installer consists of several files (one .exe and one or more .bin files) you need to download them all and save them to the same folder on your hard drive. When everything is downloaded just doubleclick the .exe file and it will install the game. You can also keep the installer (burn the files to a DVD or copy them to an external harddrive) to install the game again in the future or on a different PC without needing to download the game again.
