Pointing at things is rude, unless you click on them too, gran always used to say. Not that adventure game heroes are strangers to rude behavior. But when you got ghastly murders to solve, magical kingdoms to save, or a hot girl to conquer, you are allowed some mischief.

Not to worry, though, it will all be worth it in the end. Just keep calm and put everything in your inventory.

Any chance you can make the primary tag of HOGs 'Hidden Object' rather than 'Adventure' please? I have no interest in HOGs and don't really want to have to check every damn game on the list to see if I want to buy it!

Thanks.
Thank GoG ( see what I did there :p ) for reverting to the old list view for the sales. It's so much easier to browse through the game titles when stuff you own is separate from everything else. AND you can see the games name without hovering above it.
Through the Woods is pretty decent. It's not a flawless masterpiece or anything, but it's definitely worth the current sale price (artbook and soundtrack are well worth it too).
One of these days, an adventure game sale will actually include The Journey Down... one day...
It's a good time for Ghorpm’s "don’t miss this hidden gem" recommendation

Dracula 3: The Path of the Dragon

For us, gamers, it's pretty obvious that Dracula does exist in this series but the main character, a catholic priest, does not believe in vampires. He is sent to Vladoviste to investigate a life and death of a doctor because local church authorities claim she should be canonized.

As you can imagine he starts to experience a lot of anomalies, people tell him strange stories and he has mysterious dreams...

The best thing is that supernatural is not bluntly thrown at you in this game. Your main task is to analyze numerous documents, talk with different people, search for clues and solve elaborate puzzles. Most of the time our good priest will actually find proofs that vampirism is just a myth but at the same time he will get a feeling that there is something else going on... something elusive... something incredibly well concealed... concealed by a sentient being. And it's teasing him. Teasing to follow this path... the Path of the Dragon...

As much as Dracula 1 and 2 are typical adventure games about human vs vampire struggle the third one is one of the best games I've ever played. I was in awe how marvelous this story was and how well it was told. Puzzles are hard but it gives a lot of satisfaction to solve them. And in a sense - some of them are quite similar to "The Ninth Gate". For example you'll be shown a few copies of the same painting and only by analyzing the differences between them you'll be able to solve some puzzles (trust me, it was not a spoiler, one character will directly explain that you have to do so but she won't give you an actual answer and neither did I so don't worry - I didn't spoil anything)

I can't recommend it strong enough!

TL;DR buy Dracula Trilogy and play Dracula 3: The Path of the Dragon

At the same time I would also like to share my thoughts about Caravan. If you are a hardcore fan of the genre you may find something for you but please be aware that the game is mostly repetitive and boring.

From non obvious choices - be sure to check Nantucket if you like marine gaming and shanties! Anyone knows if "Nantucket - Songs of the Braves" is available for download as a separate music album or music is only available in-game?

GOG.com: Find out what makes you click.

The Midweek adventure games Sale ends January 19th, 11 PM UTC.

Yeah, that wasn't a very well written intro... :/

Of course.

Would it be OK if the hot boy turned out to be twice your age or older?

(By the way, is there a way to see which current sale covers a specific game? There is a game I am interested in that happens to be on sale, but it isn't covered by this sale.)

GOG.com: ...
The HTML email for this sale has "conkwatent" instead of "content" in the meta tag declaring UTF-8. So UTF-8 isn't working. Noticeably, the fancy apostrophe in "You‘re receiving this email..." at the bottom. (Of course, if you hadn't used a fancy apostrophe, then this probably would have gone unnoticed.)
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" conkwatent="text/html; charset=UTF-8">
Also, the plain text version seems gorped. It begins with a lot of CSS (even though it's the plain text version), and then afterwards the URL addresses are just for "click.html" and no text revealing any of the games for the links.

EDIT: I've just recently turned on subscriptions again, and this is one of the first emails I've gotten from GOG. So, to me these anomalies are new. If this eventually turns out to be the status quo for GOG emails, then I'll probably turn them off again.

OTOH, I know I only activated the wishlist alerts. I don't know why I'm getting the email for this sale...
Ah, huh. Looking at my settings now, and the other two checkboxes for "Releases.." and "Promotions..." are now checked. Weird. I've unchecked them now, so I hope they stay that way.
