Recently, the posts in the forums about pronouns in Battletech or the (joke?) thread about it being rascist may have just pushed me out for good considering how much anger came about over something that should have not mattered to most people.
The thing that's really sad is that, at least in the pronoun example, there are people for whom it matters a great deal in a positive direction. While I don't currently intend to get that game, he fact that the game lets you pick your pronouns is something I appreciate, and would enhance my enjoyment of the game.
It's a shame that some people seem to be against other people having fun.
(By the way, before the current rules came into play, there are a few times where I encountered severe transphobia, including people using the t-slur.)
