This weekend, we're celebrating the 11th anniversary of GOG.COM's launch. We've been preserving classic games for over a decade now, hand-picking unique modern indies, and sharing all of them DRM-free. Time flies, right?

There's no better way to celebrate this round-plus-one anniversary than with even more games! That's why, together with Anuman Interactive, we're bringing back the classic version of XIII! This unique shooter from 2003 will make you feel like you’re playing a living comic-book, as you chase a gang of conspirators that framed you for murdering the President of the United States. With David Duchovny as the voice of your protagonist, this is a game you simply cannot ignore.

That's not all, as more highly requested games join our DRM-free catalog today! Battle through an onslaught of monsters in DUSK (-25%) with its retro visuals, powerful guns, cross-play multiplayer, and the exclusive THE GOGATORIUM map for the endless mode. Platforming more your style? Explore a fantasy world and crawl through dungeons in procedurally-generated adventure platformer Chasm (-35%). Finally, take a trip to Mars to master your skills and discover the secrets of the Red Planet in two exciting RPG titles - Mars: War Logs (-75%) and The Technomancer (-65%).

We also asked the GOG.COM team what they've been playing recently and picked their brains to learn more about their favorite titles on the platform. Why? To bring back the classic tradition of GOG.COM Staff Picks and provide gamers with great deals on some of our most outstanding and memorable titles. Grab The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Game of the Year Edition (-70%), Pathfinder: Kingmaker (-50%), Kingdom Come: Deliverance (-50%), Dead Cells (-33%), Stardew Valley (-25%), Hollow Knight (-40%), Heroes of Might and Magic 3: Complete (-75%), Gothic (-75%), Dungeon Keeper 2 (-75%), The Mystery of the Druids (-75%), and many more up to -80%, all hand-picked by our staff!

Discounts for new releases are valid until October 10th, 1 PM UTC and the GOG.COM Staff Picks deals are available until October 7th, 1 PM UTC.

We would also love to know what some of your favorite games are! How many of them are already available on GOG.COM and which ones are you still waiting for?

Drop your lists in the comments or join us over on Twitter with the #My11Games hashtag!

GameRager: Two Worlds has a kick ass main menu theme(at least the one I played does). :)

OHMYGODJCABOMB: I guess you're talking about "Play The Game" from the first Two Worlds game. This song is pretty amazing.
Yup. I could have it on autoplay for an hour or more and not get tired of it.
Happy birthday, GOG! Keep the good games coming, please. And bring Unreal Tournament 2003 here.:)

i_hope_you_rot: Graveyard Keeper ? Really ? Isn't the Gog version outdated ?
It never was. Only the Artbook and OST DLCs were missing, which were finally added in July. Now most of tinyBuild's games are up to date. Check the spreadsheet from that thread to see what's missing, if you wish.
all these deals are fine, but WHERE THE HELL IS CELESTE? It was featured in promotion video almost year ago, yet still there is no gog release. Welp
Happy 11th anniversary, GOG!!! :D

Many happy returns! ;D

No pun intended! xD

Hello, everyone and congratulation to the GOG team!
This is my first active participation on the forum.

Since, at least a few of the GOG staff are actively reading and commenting in this thread and explicitly asked for comunity member's favourite games both already available here and still desired ones, I thought it might be worthwile to add my (propably less common) picks.

I had observed the early developments around GOG (from the time before the reboot as "GOG") but only registered and started to do my shopping here in December 2013. The offering to receive the classic Fallout games for free before there initial removal was just to tempting!

Usually, I did prefer my games on physical media (disks, cd rom or dvds), but for more than ten years I am living in many different places around the globe, had less and less access to my own game library from the past, changed systems and hardware a couple of times, and the retail market had changed drastically (except for a few countries). Hence, nowadays I am really glad to have easy access to quite a lot of games in my GOG library without the need for a disk or dvd drive.

Some of my favourite games without particular order, which are gladly already available on GOG, are classics such as:

- Gothic 1 (also Gothic 2, but I prefer #1)
- Die Schicksalsklinge der Nordlandtrilogie (Blade of Destiny--first part of realms of arcania)
- Icewind Dale 1
- Advent Rising
- Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six
- Screamer 4x4 (aka Bleifuss Offroad)
- Another World & Flashback (although I grew up with the SNES versions)
- VVVVVV (my very first 'Indiegame')

And newer surprise games, which I got to know only through their eventual release on GOG:

- FTL (Faster Than Light)
- Zachtronics (especially Infinifactory, Spacechem and TIS-100--still have not tried Opus Magnum, yet.)
- Lumo (a fantastic, nostalgic trip to games such as Solstice (NES), Monster Max & Altered Space (GB) or Alien 8 on the ZxSpectrum)

Regarding titles that I am eagerly awaiting and hoping to see a future release on GOG are the following:

- Search & Rescue 4 (also known as Coastal Heroes) and its stand-alone expansion
- Search & Rescue Vietnam Med+Evac
- Cabela's 4x4 Offroad Adventure 1
- Cabela's 4x4 Offroad Adventure 3
- Mud Runners / SpinTires
- Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Rogue Spear
- Tom Clancy's R6 Ravenshield
- Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory
- Metal Gear Solid Integral
- DSA Drakensang
- DSA Drakensang Am Fluss der Zeit (Drakensang River of Time)
and
- Outer Wilds (which unfortunately is currently in an exclusive deal)

Maybe some of these will be feasible in the near future?

Again, congratulation and keep them coming to our surprises!
Kind regards,
foxgog

Wishmaster777: Hatred
(you, tinye, everyone - I can't get get away from politics can I. :P 2016 made everyone insane and tbh I don't think the West will ever truly heal in its current state. (granted I'm very much on the right and hate globalism but still...))

Aaaaanyway, I responded because I actually very much agree with bringing Hatred here just because so many people want to buy it.

Current most-voted newish indie or "indie-adjacent" games:

https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/rimworld ,
https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/subnautica ,

https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/celeste ,
https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/axiom_verge ,
https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/underworld_ascendant (not technically indie; also still a bad game apparently),
https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/the_binding_of_isaac_rebirth ,
https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/the_talos_principle (wasn't sure whether or not to add this,
croteam published with devolver) ,
https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/dwarf_fortress ,
https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/salt_and_sanctuary ,
https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/grimoire_heralds_of_the_winged_exemplar (not technically indie),
https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/the_consuming_shadow

this was a quick and dirty list so let me know if I should change things

Celton88: I'm still waiting for DROIDWORKS!!!

I even tried reaching out to some people that worked in the game and StarWars Public Relations. Nada.
You talked to a low level drone at a multi billion dollar company, but they still didn't do the reasonable thing that you pointed out? Woah, wowzers.

Excuse my cynicism there. ;)

Seriously, though, it feels like half the time at work I can't even convince first level managers of reasonable stuff...Life is an uphill battle.

GameRager: I mean how busy are staff that not many can bother to reply in the anniversary thread? What are they that busy working on that they cannot spare 10 min to answer a few posts?
I feel like this sort of post of yours attracts downvotes not because everyone thinks you're completely wrong, but because multiple people think that you're violating the commonly-accepted norms of civil conversation.

That suggests that you'd get less downvotes if you'd put some work more often into upgrading your phrasings to things that sound more...polite. IMHO.

Happy anniversary to whole GOG team, keep up the good work!
Indeed happy anniversary. Looks like you joined in Gog's first year (and you're not even in Poland!) but maybe didn't comment until now? Welcome to the world of forum commenting. :)

I registered something like 2 years after you, and I like to feel like even that was kind of early. And I didn't start commenting until this year. Something about 2019 I guess.

I guess I forgot (or never knew) that history, please remind us all of that "time before the reboot as GOG"?]

Yeah, as an old person I was very attached to physical media, but it's very freeing to get past that.

Since people starting posting lists of 11 picks, hmm... Recall there being a topic asking for a list of... I forgot how many. 10? 15? 20? And I put some and was saying ask me again and I'll have a different list. Wonder what I listed then. Alphabetical order.

On GOG (9):

Betrayal at Krondor
Gothic
Gothic 2
King's Bounty: The Legend
Might and Magic VI: The Mandate of Heaven
Planescape: Torment [original]
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II - The Sith Lords
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines

Not on GOG (2):

StarCraft: Brood War
Transport Tycoon Deluxe

Again, as me again and I'll pick others. Like Deus Ex, Quest for Glory 2, The Witcher...

But still, the main requests don't have to do with games, there are way more than I'll ever play, most likely, anyway.
My requests still are about principles, and GOG being THAT GOG again, also with one-world-one-price right alongside DRM-free as clear, specific, unshakeable value, and focus on offline installers and games that have ended development (how old that means, depends, but to ensure they're as patched as they're gonna get, not at risk of falling behind, and most preferably complete editions).

*Moded, as a general rule, please refrain from talking about politics on the forum.

Wishmaster777: And it is about time you trigger the leftists by introducing Hatred
avatar
Cavalary: You're probably referring to "progressives", in what is increasingly, and sadly, the current sense of the term. Otherwise, here's one radical leftist who wouldn't mind at all. Lumping together economic and social/ethical views, if not even more categories, on the same axis makes for weird things.
Not to digress too much, but: most of us Americans are 100% unaware of how the rest of the world defines terms like "left", "right", etc., and only the most aware people outside of the U.S. understand just how differently "left" and "right" are defined *inside* the U.S.

I'll also note that the terms 'anarchy' and 'anarchist' are understood very differently inside versus outside the U.S. Inside the U.S. , none of us ordinary citizens understand at *all* (not just don't agree -- actually don't understand) the protesters who disrupt things like G8 meetings. It doesn't help that those "leftists" are joined by a certain faction of activist anarchist "rightists". Everything is confusing in the U.S.

Outside the U.S. I feel like these terms not only are defined differently, but are also more widely understood by the populace.

Sorry for being off-topic. I am not choosing a political stance here, but as long as the subject came up, I think it's helpful to note that the English terminology varies with geographical region.

Cheers to GOG for #11 and cheers to 11 more of DRM free GOG!

Hemaka: Been here since the start and it's kinda cool to see how this portal grew from giving out free games published by cdproject in Poland (there was some kind of points -> reward system as far as I remember) into this big player we know today.
My guess is that you're mixing together GOG.com and CDP.pl -- outside of some (time-limited) major sale events, I don't think there's ever been any such "points -> reward system" here on GOG.
