IronArcturus: For Project Warlock, does the game allow the user to save at the end of the level? Or is that depend on which difficulty setting is selected?
At the end of each level it saves. The levels are quite short so don't worry about playing for hours then losing all your progress upon death :)

gamesfreak64: define BAD ? what is a bad game ? every gamer has different opion i gues i do have one of my own.

tinyE: I totally totally totally agree, 100%.
My post came out wrong and I apologize for that.
Honestly I rarely pay attention to reviews period because taste is subjective, but the majority of the ones for this game seem to indicate it has issues, both with design and technical and or both.

I would like to hear from a few people who have actually played it to see if these reviews have any merit.
Thanks for your correction, that was needed IMHO.

I don't see universal agreement that it's bad or has problems, what I see are mixed reviews here and on Steam. After lots of bug fixing, some but not all say it needs more content. One person says that, but also says that it's even better than Theme Hospital otherwise. (Tastes vary as always.)

Reviews are in any case too mixed for *me* right now, but that brings up another issue:

That classic Theme Hospital itself is on sale right now, *very* cheap, so anyone who doesn't have it should seriously consider it.

Bigs: Disappointed there is no return of GOG-chan for this sale... ><
Who (or what) is GOG-chan? In isolation that sounds like a Gog mascot everyone loves, but in context I have no idea.

PaterAlf: Certainly not a "Games from PaterAlf's Wishlist" sale. :(
What is even the point of a negative comment like that? No one knows what's on your wishlist, so it doesn't communicate anything, let alone anything constructive.

At a glance this sale has a ton of games that I've already bought, which is a *good* thing, because that means there are lots of good games for others to add to their collection, as opposed to some sale which had only bad/meh games.

Not every such game has as high a discount as I prefer, but some do.

And yes, it has games from my *wishlist* at a good discount, too. So I see a lot of variety in potential buys for people. Gog has done much worse at times.

Great list of games imo, discounts seem okay.

GOG.com: The prolific, classic Electronic Arts (...)

Vythonaut: The prolific, classic EA better release some more games from their back catalog, i mean, the crowd demands Mass Effect. Of course, the same applies to Bethesda... Skyrim, Rage, Dishonored... come on guys!
I second this for at least whatever pre-Origin-exclusive games we can get, which includes Mass Effect 1 and 2, Dead Space 2, Crysis 2, etc. - all these are on Steam.

I still hope original Doom 3 + RoE shows up. Otherwise I may just mail money to Bethesda and get it "another way". ;) (I don't want to use Steam)

Got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning? My comment was just a rather innocent way to say that the sale isn't for me / doesn't have anything interesting offers for me.

The Universim is way more expensive here then on steam. :(

GOG: 39.99 C$

Steam: 32.99 C$

can the price be fixed please ? :(

faroot: But why does anyone care? No doubt there are millions of people who won't buy anything in this sale, would it be constructive for them all to post here saying so?
Couldn't you say the whole thing about every comment on this forum (at least about sales and releases)? Why should anyone care? Why should anyone care, if someone likes the sale? Why should anyone care, if anyone doesn't like it? Why should anyone care, if one thinks a release is great or if one think it's crap?

faroot: Bitching is *not* innocent in any case, it brings the general mood down for no reason, and you should at least be aware of that.
My comment was far from bitching. I even think there are some good deals in this sale, but it's just not for me (and that was all my comment was about). And you know what? That's fine, not every sale has to be for me.

If you really want to complain about bitching, you should visit the release threads and talk to the people who complain about almost every release and call it crap or shovelware just because they don't like it (for whatever reasons) or because it isn't the game they hoped for.
Does anyone know if Settlers: Heritage of Kings is Complete here on GOG? And does it work well right out of the gate on Windows 10?

I think it's because of regional pricing done differently. On steam the regional price is fixed N local currency, on GOG it's fixed USD converted to some .99 local currency so it fluctuates with your currency. If it makes you feel better, blame Trump.

I think the numbers don't make sense, and something needs fixing. $39.99 CAD on Gog is exactly the $29.99 USD list price at the current exchange rate of 1 USD to 1.32 CAD, but doesn't reflect the 30% discount of the current sale.

And $32.99 CAD on Steam would seem to be too favorable of an exchange rate for the list price; is Steam usually generous about that? I had the impression that they were not.

Anyway it pretty much seems like it's not on sale in the CAD$ pricing.

What is this lantern festival thing? Is it to commemorate the Japanese balloon bombings of USA during the war?

Well, to be honest this happens quite often that the price of a game on steam is better then here on GOG. At least for me here in Canada that is so. :(

Before, i simply went ahead and bought the game on steam. But of late, wonderful blue guys of GOG have been nice enough to fix the price for couple of games at least so far. And so I'm gonna wait and see if they will fix the price for this game as well. Since, the way i understand, they can't do that for every game that have a price difference.

But on the other hand, it kind of sucks for me to pay more here on GOG for exact same game. I prefer GOG over steam. But sadly, I'm not a millionaire yet to ignore the price difference. :/

No, it's a Chinese festival.

No bombs, no wars, no USA. Just a beautiful, peaceful festival!
