StingingVelvet: I know Horizon came here but Days Gone has not. Maybe Sony wasn't satisfied with how Horizon went, or maybe the developer matters. Who knows. In any case, I wouldn't bet on this one coming here for a good while.
BanditKeith2: Well if I recall right Days gone had very poor sales on PlayStation and PC when game sales matter to count for companies when putting a game on pc atleast that is from what I recall Sony saying .. So that likely has a part in deciding if a drm-free version is worth making while still recent enough for sales that aren't drm-free.. Granted DRMed game I and many other would sooner pirate (though for me I actually don't pirated media that is still easy to get and work on my devices as I would rather not go to the extra effort so I just don't get em )
The game's Creative Director claims Days Gone sold around the same numbers as Ghost of Tsushima (approx. 7 - 9m across all platforms). Last week he tweeted a snarky tweet where he claimed this and then said that Sony always made Bend Studios feel that Days Gone was a disappointment when fact was it did similarly in sales to GoT. IMHO the whole situation feels similar to Microsoft and Human Head on Prey 2... Sony downplayed Days Gone's financial success in order to get Bend Studio back to Syphon Filter. Probably due to the initial mediocre reviews.
I believe there was a claim that Days Gone sold over 1m on PC.
As for future Sony games on GOG...
... I have a bad feeling that Sony tested the waters with Horizon to see what kind of sales could be achieved... and now they're done. Hope I'm wrong.
As for God of War...
... I played the game on PS4 but would certainly purchase it here as well. One of the best games I've played.
