low rated
When I said, "Yes, I'm a pirate..." that was being sarcastic. Sarcasm doesn't translate well at times, but my statement, when taken in full, is crystal clear to anyone with a command of the English language, which I guess you don't have?
As for promotion, no. It's stating facts. The pirated original is the original, just pirated (unless wilfully modified by the pirate). Thus, it is more flexible than the GoG version in regard to installation and modding. As another example, I could say that pirated versions of some games (say, back in 1993) were in some ways superior to commerical releases, because the pirates compressed, say, a 2-diskette game onto one diskette. When it came to compression algorithms, some were superior coders than the game coders themselves...
That doesn't mean I am condoning or promoting piracy. It's simply a fact. And everyone knows these things except, apparently, you.
Lol, you certainly have a lot of expertise on BG, NWN and co, I don't doubt that.
As for credibility - you're really working hard on destroying that with your ad hominem attacks on other users...
I haven't directly called anyone a name. But yeah, who cares if I did. I'm not worried about my rep on the forum of a digital distributions service. Fret not, though, I'm only incidentally here (acquaintances). You'll be pleased to know that I won't be sticking around because, like I said before, I don't need GoG for games. I bought them back when it mattered, back when the devs actually benefited and when one's purchases influenced the greatest RPG era in history: 1996-2002.
Your 1,600 piddly purchases for a pittance on GoG after-the-fact don't mean shit, son. Not sure why you'd boast about such a thing, tbh.
