The reason most of us are buying our games here at gog.com is - in my opinion - that we can get our games drm free, archive them on our PCs for installation at any time, on any PC and without having to connect to the internet or install unwanted third party software like steam's client, ubi's uplay or other malware/spyware/etc.
Now it seems that more and more they try to push their galaxy client on our PCs :-(... The annoying violett "TRY GALAXY" banner in our library has now finally been replaced with a small blue button on the game's download pages - fine, I can live with that.
But today I have checked the account library page for Galactic Civilizations III (I do that daily since - about three(!) weeks ago a new patch was published on steam; on a side note that's a patch for which we gog.com customers are still waiting for) and found out that the offered installation files for the game are now followed by this note:
The above installer includes GOG Galaxy client for the full experience and the best support of all features for the game, including: auto-updates, achievements.
Until today(?) I always was offered the standard classic installation files.
Now I do NOT want to install or use galaxy and it took me a few clicks to find out that generously gog.com is still offering us classic installers - so far and who knows for how long?
I hope that someboy from gog.com staff is reading this and offer us a clear commitment and statement that they will keep offering classic installation files and not start to become a steam-like site which offers their software and updates through a client software like galaxy only.
Because if this is the way gog.com is going I believe that after purchasing several hundred games from you it would be time to reconsider my future game purchasing options.
