Jupiter Hell is now available DRM-free. Get it 10% off until August 8th, 5pm UTC.

Jupiter Hell is a turn-based shooter from the depths of cosmic hell, built on a classic roguelike framework updated with modern 3d graphics. Rip and tear zombies, demons, and heavy metal monstrosities with chainguns and chainsaws. Like chess... with shotguns!

Note: This game is currently in development. See the <span class="bold">FAQ</span> to learn more about games in development, and check out the forums to find more information and to stay in touch with the community.
Hmm i wonder how the game is though, blow up as much shit as possible sounds like my thing. Turn based Doom lol.

Also how rude joking about Epic Exclusivity :p

Seeing Jupiter with vertical stripes is irritating AF.
The stripes aren't vertical; the camera is merely rotated 90°. Anyway, looks promising.
Nice, I'll definitely pick this up at some point. DoomRL was fantastic, and since this is the spiritual successor I have high expectations.

For anyone curious about what preceded Jupiter Hell, DoomRL can be downloaded for free for both Windows and Linux:

That's beside the point - it shows the stripes vertical. And that's irritating AF. ;)

Edit: attached another irritating picture...

Nah, it's cool. ;) Makes things look a little unsettling, though what's "up" in space is entirely arbitrary anyway.
An actual roguelike (or so it seems) using the roguelike tag? Right next to another game where the devs say roguelike in the first sentence, but somehow managed to avoid gog's roguelike tag? I'm... impressed. This is the first actual roguelike to get this tag since ADOM (I don't count Legend of Shara because it's a DLC).

As to the game, it looks pretty, and supports Linux, but I'm still not excited enough to justify the price. Maybe I'll go watch some more videos.

Edit: bought it anyway. I figure at worst I can get a refund, maybe, since it's indev. So far it took a bit of work to get the game to come up on my Linux machine, but it seems OK otherwise; still not sure it was worth the money.

It's a real rogue-like, although there is some streamlining i.e. no diagonal movement and not stats (but there are character improvements you can choose on level up. It plays very well and the animations are great.
Well, it's from the makers of Doom RL...
Enough said. Instabought.
It's good. I played it a few weeks ago when they did the free weekend beta on Steam.

Def gonna buy it next check. It's like DoomRL but better.
That Epic Store joke really killed it :)
$25? Wow.
I guess i'll get this next Christmas.
End of trailer: .."Exclusively on the Epic Store!"

I blinked vacantly at the screen, wondering if I'd gone there by accident or something. I was genuinely confused.

Then..."just kidding..."

You bastards!
Interesting combination of game play mechanics, I'll adopted a wait and see on this one but hope for all the best.
