ShadowWulfe: GOG's selection process has been a bit obnoxious lately. They seem to reject quite a few games that would either be considered classics or done in classic style.
However misguided their selection process may be, I doubt they would reject Homeworld if given the chance.
The level of fail would be astonishing. The wishlist shows how much people want these games. So unless they're really trying to say, "Bringing classics back is too hard, let's just release new titles and indies," -_- if Gearbox offers it up surely they'll take it.However misguided their selection process may be, I doubt they would reject Homeworld if given the chance.

I posted as such then corrected then linked to the post which I skimmed the tile incorrectly - dammed if I can find if now :(

Anyone else think CD Projekt Red might have missed a trick by at least not putting in a worthwhile bid for Homeworld when it was up for auction? - i have no idea how much Gearbox paid but seriously....

They paid BIG money: 1.35Mill.$ http://www.gamefront.com/how-much-would-you-pay-for-the-homeworld-2-hd-remake/ Remember, TeamPixel collected 50k$ (only)(http://venturebeat.com/2013/01/28/why-developer-teampixel-is-making-a-bid-for-the-homeworld-series-interview/) and also BlackBirdInteractive bade & looks like Paradox and AspyrMedia too... there was a bidding war.
edit: added million ;P

Depends on perspective... for a 10 years old (dead?) franchise in a hardcore and pretty PC specific genre (console incompatible)... ? I was surprised and expected one digit less.
Also, Homeworld alone raised 20% of the complete money on a auction with multiple newer, console capable (mutli platform) IPs whcih are also in more "trendy/casual" genres.

It's been over a year since I made this thread. With the big, special, whatever, $100 edition that Gearbox is letting people preorder, I figured this would be worth a bump even though the last post wasn't actually that long ago, March 2014.
It may well make absolutely no difference, but the thing is it can only take a minute of your time (if you have a Facebook or Twitter account) to at least try.
