yogsloth: They're probably a good starting point for the not-quite-sold-on-metal crowd to check out.
That's me!

hummer010: So far, I'm really enjoying Tengger Cavalry.

That's as far as I've got, but one album that I like for a buck means that any others that I like are just gravy!

yogsloth: TC is probably the most unique band in the bundle. They're one of the bands that I launched my idea with - a band that is so unique (which is almost impossible in metal) that I want the world to hear them.

They're probably a good starting point for the not-quite-sold-on-metal crowd to check out.
Hey. It's pretty good. I'm pleasantly surprised.
At least until the noise kicks in.

lol, booo. I'm sure you meant "the sweet melodious sound of overdriven distortion".

Entropia is your next stop, followed by the mellow bits of Frozen Ocean.
Well done, yogs. This thread was sweet too, nice inside info into something I'd never otherwise know about.

Yes. That's exactly what I meant: "the sweet melodious souNd Of overdrIven diStortion E"
DAMN! I just saw this and missed the pre-order! I would love to be turned on to some new metal. For me, it is hard to find metal that I like, because I find a lot of it to be (like most genres, it's not just metal, and perhaps, on average, metal has more of these than other genres) lacking in good musicianship, from compositions to talent to originality (whether it be from other bands or between songs of a same band.) Great work yogsloth! I hope the experience was rewarding, and even more so, I hope it does pay off for you.

I wish Groupees had a real forum system so I could discuss it there, too. The chatbox is so... transient.

Sales aren't so good at the moment. Time to try and hit some more media sites and spread the word.
Yeah, Frozen Ocean and Tenggar Cavalry are the only two that i can give it a try, gonna recommend this bundle to a friend since he's way more metalhead than me.
mrkgnao, and others, if you don't so much like certain sounds of certain metal (because of the vocals, the distortion, or whatever else), I would like to make a couple recommendations of some different sounding, amazing metal.

First, there is the progressive metal project that did 2 albums called Liquid Tension Experiment and here is their song When the Water Breaks - I know it is long, but, give it a try!

Then, there is Therion. They have some more standard heavy metal and also do some operatic metal, both of which are quite excellent, but here is one of their operatic pieces called Deggial. It was hard for me to pick which song of theirs to choose first, almost when with Emerald Crown or The Invincible, so check those out perhaps if Deggial isn't quite doing it for you.

Hey, I have no idea about the content of that bundle, but I highly doubt it's as noisy as Merzbow.

Which genres do you usually listen to?

I guess I now have to apologise to yogsloth for calling some of his tracks noise, for in comparison they are melodiousness incarnate.

I have a very very limited musical taste, primarily:
- Clannad
- Maire
- Enya
(see a pattern...?)
- Loreena McKennitt
Yes, Merzbow is a whole other universe. He's literal noise.

You want some noise? You could always buy his 50 CD box set of recordings made of feedback.

That's not a joke.

I like extreme music as much as the next fella, but even I have to draw the line somewhere, and it's way WAY before Merzbow.
Not into metal, but I wish you luck with that. :) I wish I knew some local bands to recommend (not for a bundle, but for your listening pleasure as I see you like to explore), but I'm not really into it.
I'm not into Metal - I definitely prefer melodies - but Congratulations on creating your dream bundle, Yogsloth! :D
