MaxFulvus: I asked Iceberg Interactive on Twitter to know if they plan to release the Darkness Within games on GOG one day and they just answer : "Unfortunately the Darkness Within games will not be released on GOG. ^S".
So no drm-free versions of these games, except on Gamersgate, but I don't know this site so I will pass !

Pheace: Gamersgate was actually around since before GOG and used to be pretty big. It was actually set up by Paradox Interactive if I'm not mistaken.

These days I barely remember it exists though, once they went regional pricing and started selling Steam keys there just wasn't much of a reason to visit them anymore.
