I loved the first two of these strips back in the day. I think I've got one small book collection each for Bloom County and Outland somewhere in my house, but that probably only covers less than 5% of what's offered here and I probably paid more for those 2 books than the current cost of the BTA+$5 (ugh, hate, hate, hate this new pricing method). Time to see whether they hold up or if my memory betrays me... I'm also curious about Opus, though I've never seen a single strip of the series.

I can't decide if I like the more frequent one week book bundles or hate what it's doing to my wallet so far (and these two seem like relatively lukewarm bundles imo).

One advantage with the +$5 top tier is that if you get in early enough then it's cheaper than $15.

Yeah, I hesitated though. I caught the BTA at about $7.70, which would have made the BTA+5 a nice $12.70. I waited to see if it would go down any further, but instead it shot up. I ended up buying at $14.60. It's at $15.80 right now...

The average is up to $15.47, making the BTA more expensive than the normal $15 tier. There's no doubt this is good for Humble, as it essentially makes the average ever-growing (albeit slowly), but it "penalizes" late purchasers heavily.
Bloom County, no freakin way!! I loved that comic strip. Instant buy!....well when I get paid tommorow. Now just a collection of Garfield, and ahhh damn, my mind is a blank what other classics where there in the 80s comic strip newspapers...hmm...oh yeah Calvin and Hobbes...what else...
god.... that's tempting....
I honestly dont ever recall seeing / hearing of it before. O____o

I did not recognize the name either.

Checking some strips I realized I have read some before.

The Far Side. That'd be a treat.

Not necessarily, I would have bought the top tier at $15 but it is currently over $21.
I am passing on this one. If enough people pass because the top tier is too high, it won't work in their favour.

So Bloom County is good? I should buy this?

I have never heard of it (maybe because I am Australian?)

Bloom County consists of cultural and American political satire; for example volume 9 features a bit about Donald Trump's brain being transplanted into a cat, Republican jokes, a jab at band-aids standing out on darker skinned people, etc. Some of the material from the original series is a bit dated and I'm not sure how culturally specific some of the references are but for the price there's probably enough that is universal to be fun (i.e. a jab at censorship). It's a good time capsule of cartoons I remember reading when I was younger that seems to have a cult following.

Trying the $1 tier seems like a safe bet.
