Andanzas: Maybe it's because I don't know much about science fiction, but to me the lowest tier looks more tempting than the $15 one.
I agree with this.
I'm going to buy the whole bundle because I want to support these bundles and not because I think it's the best deal.

The best deal for those that like the genres would have been to buy the BTA when it was around $6, in my opinion.
I love the humble book deals they had for a while now, Great deals on pdf copies drm free and dirt cheap and I can support a good cause <3
Small notes:

Several ebooks in this bundle are shorter in length than a regular book (say, around 100 pages).
Some items are clearly described as a novella in HB page but the blurbs are not so clear for ebooks like the ones of Connie Willis or Dan Simmons. I've marked all small works as Novella and I've linked the page for each work in Subterranean Press.

The compilations of Vance, Ellison and Barry Hughart are over 500 pages in lenght each and their pages have the tables of contents.

The Mallet of Loving Correction is a compilation of Scalzi's blog Whatever.
Thanks for the info.

I'll probably buy the $15 tier as well, as I I'd like to see more bundles like this one. Two things are giving me pause: 1) money is tight at the moment and 2) I need to stop buying more books/comics/games/movies than I can read/play/watch.

I suspect I am not the only one with these problems. :p
Did anyone say SF?! :D

It's not fully Sci-Fi though. Will give it some more days.
Second week additions:

- Salvage and Demolition - Tim Powers
- I Travel by Night - Robert McCammon
- Bleeding Shadows - Joe R. Lansdale
- New Amsterdam - Elizabeth Bear
- The Agonizing Resurrection of Victor Frankenstein - Thomas Ligotti

EDIT: Links added to the original announcement.

Basically, New Amsterdam is a regular sized book, first in a series, Bleeding Shadows is a 500 page compilation of stories. The other three are short books.

As expected, they've added several writers I know nothing about (except Tim Powers), so I have no idea if these additions are good. But at least Bleeding Shadows looks interesting.

Also, this one is only running for a week, unlike the others. So there probably won't be any additions to this one.

Ugh, hate the BTA+$5... I bet we're going to be seeing this a lot in the future though.
awesome deal this time around
more then meets the eye has been the best transformers comics for 3 years in a row now

but i wont be getting this bundle
i already have all the titles on offer

for those who are wondering dark cybertron is a 12 issue cross over between mtme and rid
you dont need to read it to grasp the stories set after it
but it helps

I agree.

Transformers are not my thing so I'll be skipping this but I'll have to think if I want to support that strategy for future bundles.

As a reference now, for anyone curious, I bought the top tier on this bundle for $11.90 yesterday. Using this new BTA+$5 for the top tier the BTA has been driven up so that the top tier now costs $15.85. It's only going to get higher over the next week...

I hope the old behaviour of freezing the BTA once you make a, for example, $1 purchase is still in place and it applies to the new top price.

Interesting thought, obviously I can't test it at this point in time, but we'll have to keep an eye out to confirm...
