agogfan: Windows XP still powers my primary gaming PC, which is still not connected to the internet.
It's running perfectly fine so I haven't needed to restore a fresh install image for a long time, but that's probably because I've kept it off the internet so it hasn't ended up with a ton of rubbish on it. And I thus also don't have to run antivirus software, which I suspect would cause a lot of performance issues for XP machines which are probably using older hardware.
^^^ Same for me bro. Still using my XP Gaming computer...and offline as well, and no AV, just like yours. The only problem I've ever had, was the power supply a couple years ago, which I promptly diagnosed, and replaced with a more powerful, and higher quality one. Other than that, still happily playing games on it. I suppose sometime in the near future, I'm going to have to break down, and get a newer rig as well to play some of the more modern games (and aren't available on console, or don't play well on them) that have come out, that I'd like to play, but can't on my older rig. Not a huge priority for me atm though....
