One of the most anticipated games of recent years is finally here, ready to be yours forever.

Hollow Knight: Silksong is OUT NOW! You can also grab its Official Soundtrack or both the base game and the OST in one package with Hollow Knight: Silksong & Soundtrack Bundle.

There’s no need to say anything. Grab that masterpiece and enjoy. The wait is over.
I am afraid, the FLAC files seems corrupt. Was downloading it 2 times in a row, no changes. MP3 files are OK. The Windows player does not even play it (it says it is corrupt) and VLC can handle it but there is always the same failure at the exact same position on certain tracks.

I do recommend for the devs checking it out and simply reupload it if failures found.

Hmm, was updating V. 3.0.18 to V. 3.0.21, now it seems like the breakups on my VLC player are gone now, was testing a lot.

Still weird, this is the first time such a issue was appearing. The Windows media player usually never got issues handling FLAC but this time it completely fails. I assume the newer decoder had some improved "failure correction" so it was able to handle those issues. The Windows media player got near zero failure correction, not a surprise. Some data is still missing on the description which seems corrupt to me. If properly packaged then all the infos available inside MP3 container should be available on FLAC as well.

Memecchi: It seems GOG unintentionally attracted a lot of people because it was the only store where you could buy it lmao
No joke, Lot of sites had server problems because of the amount of users trying to purchase the game. The Idea of this price was a great movement. I was expecting 29,99 or so and I wouldn´t have been surprised because of the hype, and the quality expectations after 7 years.

You mean - GOG was the only store that attracted so few customers that it did not crash....

A lot of people relative to the number of GOG customers on an average day, likely. I'm basing this on how there are already 300+ reviews for the game in less than a day.
Does GOG not do regional pricing, I forgot.
Game is like 25% cheaper for me on Steam.

They do but not everywhere it seems. I think somebody from Mexico has complained about this also.

I can see regional pricing in South America, maybe is not to all locations.

Amazing to see this finally release! is being a long wait.

Congratulations Team Cherry on the release!
I haven't purchased yet it yet because I haven't played much Hollow Knight , but I'm reading about it on steam and gamefaqs. The whole pogo thing is surprisingly polarizing. A lot of people hate it and say it's bad design, others just say "git gud it's awesome". Makes me kinda nervous, I'm not very good at "git gud " games

as far as the original Hollow Knight goes, there is a simpler pogo mechanic (you push down and attack, knight slashes beneath him and pogoes further), but even though I have finished the game and even the White Palace slaughterhouse, I never really learnt this :D there isn't THAT MANY places where you absolutely need this to go further, on the contrary, the further you are, the more skills you have which make this not necessary at all

in Silksong this changes a bit in a way that pushing down and attacking makes Hornet not slash below, but diagonally to left and right - this is really more difficult, but then again, I do hope it will not be THE mechanic that stops you from going further... (only makes some fights easier I guess if mastered)
The gid gud meme should die. It came from a place of good, only to turn to this elitist mindset that put people off.

The game is so tightly designed and polished, I am impressed. Hollow Knight was already a butter experience, but this is somehow way more addictive. The exploration seems better, the maps are more fun, and the enemies require adaptation.

It is a hard game, but it is really overwhelming when you meet a boss for the first time. You don't have much room for mistakes there and are punished quite quickly.

It really is all down to mindset. If someone sits with expectations to get frustrated and the game to punish them, they will get that and be pissed off. But if you go with the idea of just exploring and going through the levels to open shortcuts and familiarize yourself with them to such a point that the map is not even needed, and become one with the world, it is really rewarding.

Also, you are going to do the pogo without thinking in no time. I feel it is very intuitive.

Steam got the exactly same price for me such as GOG, so apparently i got regional pricing. US customers got 19,99 USD on GOG, which is same on Steam, so they got regional pricing. Local taxes may become added, so this is rarely the final price there.

The Japanese price is 43% lower on Steam, which is a heavily reduced price, i did not know that their economy apparently is burning now, because thats how it looks like.

Perhaps there are key sellers around... because this would be the only way for me getting a "more affordable" price. On Steam, in many terms, not always but perhaps 80% or so of the cases, i can get a way cheaper price using a key, usually from "Instant Gaming".

Although even GOG may have some keys available, i never use it on GOG... paired with the highest regional pricing world wide this is basically my "accepted" support of GOG, as they simply need it. There are a lot of sales on GOG and i surely was as well able to save up a lot using sales, but not every game need to be gotten from sales. In general if GOG is having a "day one game" of a game with a big demand, i am not stingy, because this is not common and may help getting the required support. On Steam many gamers, even from my country, pay a full price too... so why not here?

People simply pay the money "worth it to them", but i can fully understand that it is "to much" for a lot of people; as every situation is different... there is no such thing such as "every Japanese or every Swiss is wealthy"... this is always very individual. I simply pay what i can afford and if it means lesser games for me... so be it; i got enough already.

From what i can see, GOG got regional pricing else the Japanese price would be "my level", so 43% higher, not 25% higher. However... apparently either the publisher or Steam themself was pulling down the price even higher, for whatever reason... and GOG either was not willing to adapt to it or they may not bother because they got just very few Japanese customers... it is still a difficult market for them.
