Hi all! :)

It’s not a secret that GOG.com, the platform and community gathered around it, is growing at an exceptional rate all around the world. We keep that in mind as we look for ways to improve our service for everyone. Obviously, one of the most important functions for all of you is downloading your purchases - preferably as fast and as reliably as possible.

For some of you this might sound familiar (yep it’s our 3rd time!), once again we are in the process of benchmarking various download locations, and trying to get the most representative sample of worldwide results. That means as many unique ISPs / cities / countries as possible, and we need a little help from you! :) Below you will find a simple test that requires just one click and won't take more than 2 minutes of your time to complete:

Your help is greatly appreciated here! Of course you can run the test as many times as possible (preferably at different locations and different times of day). Oh, and keep in mind that we used a little bit of Flash in this test, so if you want to participate please make sure you have the flash player installed and/or your are not using any flash blocking plugins in your browser.

It would be nice to show an overall result like speedtest.net
I've run this test multiple times throughout the day, and every time Test #2 had better bandwidth! GOG, please use those servers!
Done! Waiting a few hours to repeat the test :)
Done! It would have been nice to show the results, but I already know my speeds since I recently upgraded my internet plan and have run a lot of tests on them already.

I'll probably keep running it periodically throughout the day.
I ran the test two times today, i will do it again later tonight. i hope it helps. :)
Done.
Will redo test later as well :)
Done ^^
Alright. Did the test. I hope it helps. I will do another test in a few hours from now.
Done the test twice at this point. Though it would be really nice to see what is actually being tested, because "testing in progress" doesn't say anything.
Did the test again. 30 seconds.
Done.....All the tests so far only took about 30 seconds.....

Today's test took 90 seconds......07.20....
Done
Done from beautiful (but smoggy) Los Angeles. We have a few gamers hanging out here. :)
Tried it once again before bed...only this time it was SLOOOOW -- around a minute and a half, I'd estimate, which means probably close to three times as long as the previous tests. I guess maybe all the new Russians customers are slowing things down?...
Done.....90 seconds......18.15....
