I heard good things about this game. Definitely a good move to have it on GOG from both a player's standpoint and a business standpoint.
I hope Skies of Arcadia gets brought over someday in the near future.

Ps1 version of the lunars are best (even better than psp remake) but the sega cd version was the first rpg that really blew me away in terms of storytelling...music...cheese cutscenes/voice acting etc. I guess I was 13 or 14...almost 20 years ago. Yikes!
Play them if you haven't. I could ramble on but I'll spare you....

My first experience and introduction into RPG and gaming with that level was Phantasy Star 4... The graphical cutscenes/images really got me going, and i haven't seen any games do it like that since :( Makes me wish Sega CD was a lot more popular, as what was done in 4Mb they would have a lot more room/data to add in so much more...
Instead we get Night Trap... actually... perhaps i can find a ripped video of the entire thing without the gameplay and watch how cheesy it was :P
But yeah, 20 years... where did my life go?

And phantasy star 4 is my fave of the series. I had only played 2 before lunar and didn't give 4 a run until years later...and for a genesis game it's really impressive. 2 is still solid too.
I haven't played night trap! I'll look into it.
But yeah lunar 1 and 2 both run flawlessly on psxfin for anyone interested.

Right. I am just saying it would be good if Skies of Arcadia was available on either GOG or Steam in the future. Plus this thread has me nostalgic about the Dreamcast.

Good news. It's good to see more JRPGs making their way to GOG after Trails in the Sky.
I played Phantasy Star 4 too and it was definitely one of the best RPGs of the era, its comic-like cutscenes even making for a closer connection with the characters than the Final Fantasy games of the era. Heck, Phantasy Star pulled an Aerith long before Square introduced the concept to the mainstream. It also had truckloads of fanservice for those who played the first two games.

I can't wait. Grandia II is a really fun, and extremely charming RPG. It's got a flavor to it that not a lot of RPGs at the time replicated.
And naturally, I'm glad it's coming to GOG. I haven't been terribly impressed with GOG's additions for the last few months, so it's nice to get something I'm really excited about again.

15 bucks with a release discount, 20 bucks if you want to wait if this port is better than the last one and relatively bug free... That's quite pricey for a "remaster" of a 15 years old game :/ I love Grandia II, but I guess I'll only get it if it doesn't come with an absurd regional price (like 15 Euro instead of 15 Dollar).
