In most of the regions, you can be pretty sure about which side of the base price barrier you'll land, but there are a few swing regions where every new release is a surprise: hike or discount?

Not entirely sure. Check the price hikes, were very low. But yeah, for an in dev game, lots of things may happen.

I was thinking more about the discounts, actually. If $30 is seen as a too high price even in "the rich world", there's no way it's gonna sell well for that much in Russia, China or Latin America.

But then again, these are the devs that have said over and over again that the game is never ever gonna be on sale. So maybe they've really upped the ante and on top of that they've gone the "one world, one price" way. We'll see.

It is. The base price should by all accounts be $29.99.

But then the Chinese and "Russian" discounts would be too low for that base price.

Not to mention the ludicrous Oceanian hike, no matter what the base price is.

Factorio seems to be glitched - regional prices doesnt work, for the moment of writing this post. E.g in every country game costs the equal of 30$
