changelog for last Thursday & Friday

Mafia: weird pricing is weird ...
the region blocking is most likely a glitch. Reading the release thread there were a few of those reported.
And since you can visit the store page with the location set to CU and just get an error when continuing this is most likely not intended. Will check again on Monday and see if it is gone or if we need to poke support about it.

seems there is also a new trend of giving Poland a price around the US price instead of the normal Euro price

and one more Activision change in line with the ones reported above.

muntdefems: Activision says: "less regional discounts!"
But it also says: "No one has to pay more than the base price!".

So for me it's indeed good news.

Sorry, must still have been too tired when I wrote that this morning (had to get up at 5am). My mistake, that's not a nice move by Activision. :(
re: Mafia price, 11.79 is 9.99 +18%, so seems like the regional prices were set for a base of 9.99 and then the base changed but the rest didn't. Yet.

"Less regional discounts!" isn't so much regions as nations whose residents would actually benefit from regional pricing getting cut.

Good News! Regional pricing so long as we can charge you more or you belong to a developing nation with a market of a couple of hundred millions to exploit!

As a consequence of today's new adjustment of the exchange rates with respect to the USD, all the regional pricing schemes have been affected. Depending on your location you can expect slightly higher or slightly lower prices, but if you're in Poland there's a whole bunch of games that are now regionally priced for you. Most of them are slightly discounted, but in keeping with the absurdity of it all, some of them have now a price a little above base. :\

You can see the full details in the 4 attached files. REMEMBER THEY ARE ACTUALLY TEXT FILES, SO DOWNLOAD THEM AND RENAME THEM IF NEEDED IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO READ THEM.

What was that about trying to have at least the classics with nothing other than the standard discounts? 3 old releases today, by a Polish company no less, all with full regional pricing.

Calculate how long it took for the Disney games to get flat priced since their release, perhaps add a margin of error based on who the publisher is, and you'll have an idea how this works.

I'm still not sure I get your point... are you expecting these new games to get flat priced much quicker than Disney's were, then?

I'm saying that it might not be a fixed time period; not all pubs are made equal.
