It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I can add that.

woolymethodman: The new file will be called "gog-db.dat".. so you'll want to run a full update after the release. gog-db.dat for now will be a utf-8 text file with very long strings, however in near future it may become something else, like sqlite. You'll still be able to get a text version of the database with a new "dump" command.
Please, please, leave the DB as readable textfile, don't mak it binary or something like that!! For example json, xml or dumped python dict is OK. So it is easier to use this DB for own tools or scripts.
I don't know why I didn't think to ask this sooner but any chance of a Windows port?

What do you mean? You just have to install Python, it works perfectly fine on Windows ;)

Yes you use the command line, either in Command Prompt or Powershell. The commands are explained in the readme file.

Especially the step 4.

Just wanted to check if you're still planning to release today, I've set aside a bit of time to port the pull requests I made over to the new format.
Making very good progress, but it's not ready yet.

Fantastic news. Take your time and whenever it's released I'm sure it will be great.

Thanks for doing this :)

No worries.

Hi folks! FYI the script updates are coming along nicely.. I'm currently working on revamping the downloader code this weekend. After that it should be ready for a release. I think you guys will love the changes.. especially the speed improvements and config file.

I'd like to give a heads up though... I will be dropping Python 2 support. Python 3 is definitely the way to go, and it will simplify installation and setup as well (pip is included for example). Also it makes the code cleaner and simpler.

Hopefully this isn't a big deal to folks. I will include clear instructions on how to setup everything.

I *may* re-add Python 2 support later, but it's going to be a low priority item. If this is some kind of deal breaker for you, please explain to me why and perhaps this item can be higher priority.

Cheers
Awaiting :)
I didn't update for weeks now... because you said we need to do a full update anyway.
I have to download my entire library, so I'm eagerly awaiting your next improved version :D
