But there is this strange date the current Weekly Sale ends (Wednesday 16/12 instead of Monday 14/12). Perhaps it's just a small mistake or perhaps the next Wednesday is important for some reason... :)
Is it possible that the Winter Sale starts on Wednesday, and they don't want to start a weekly sale on Monday, so they're extending this Weekend one until then?

Yes it is possible, last year's Winter Sale started on Wednesday, December 11th.

I think they are saving the Winter sale for Monday so they don't take all the hype of the first initial days of sales from Cyberpunk 2077. Welp, my wallet is ready for 1 or 2 games to hit sale this year around.
