People are ganging up on him because he made a ridiculous claim with no merit. Not even the usual forum SJW fearing sabre rattlers are here supporting him because even they would think his argument is completely without merit. Most of those guys, to their credit, have identified that GoG refusing to release Grimoire likely has nothing to do with SJWs and more to do with it being a very poorly reviewed and selling game.

Maybe if the guy took less than 15 years to release it the game would be here.

Guess you missed the rest of the conversation. The point was that SJWs don't exist as a group because SJW is just a nonsense insult developed by some people to shut down discourse. While the label could apply to the behaviours of some people, it doesn't make it a real thing.

Maybe, although probably seriously exaggerated and/or misrepresented ("representatives of GOG" might include customers, for example). Between the 2013 demo and its release, there was a general (diminishing, as the years went by) consensus that it should be on gog. Keep in mind that 3 years is still less than the time between the original release date (May 2013) and the actual release date (August 2017). Also, he decided to make it a Steam exclusive. Some people like to quote his ancient claim that he would polish it on Steam and give gog only the best, but if you read the things he said around the time of release, you'll see that was furthest from his intent. He expected to make tons of money on Steam, and keep it at its original release price forever, and never go on sale, and only maybe release on gog 10 years from release as an afterthought. When he didn't make enough sales on Steam, even after reducing the price multiple times, he decided to throw it on gog as an afterthought. We already have a list of games that were thrown on gog as an afterthought, commonly referred to as the "second class citizen list".

Also, while I don't doubt that there is a rejection letter, I'm not entirely certain the glowing praise of the game was part of that letter. Then again, I don't care either way. He rejected gog in 2017, and gog rejected him in 2019. I'm sure gog dodged a bullet in both cases, although if they want to shoot themselves in the foot and go back on their decision, it doesn't affect me either way. On the other hand, the constant whining by fans is getting tiresome. Go to itch.io and buy it if you really want it, and shut up about it already.

My obligatory response: this wishlist has been building since 2012. A lot has changed since then; the 2013 demo hadn't even been released yet. I can guarantee that 80% of those votes are from people who don't care any more. Hell, I'll even bet that over half of the new votes since the rejection are merely votes of support, and not potential sales. Unfortunately, we can't see a histogram of when people voted, and there's no way to take a vote back.

Again: to fans of Grimoire: if you want to punish gog for what you feel is a bad business decision, buy the game on Steam or itch.io. For Steam users, this game is as DRM-free as Steam games get. Your constant non-sequitur political attacks just make you look like idiots.

How many sales does gog need to cover for the cost of selling a game? The wish list is 700 people strong, considering how few people actually go to the wish list, let alone browse it for actual games that are not the latest bethesda fad, I'd assume it would put us far from "poorly selling game". Sounds there is quite a bit of dishonesty going around to me.

I have yet to be given a good reason for this game not to be on GOG. It's not like the game is even a reflection of that triggering stuff he says. And gog does sell shit games, so the "poorly reviewed" argument doesn't hold water either.
Ultimately it's GOG's call to what they sell or don't, but if they can't come up with proper explanations, then by virtue of precedence (the twitter fiasco that ended up with people getting fired) I'll side with the OP.
