dedoporno: At this point I don't really care what Joppo says anymore as my view of him is already tainted beyond the point of no return and he has my vote (which I clearly stated before).
That's harsh. I guess there isn't much I can say by now. I took a risk with Micro, it blew up spectacularly. I'm not surprised I'm close to lynch now.

avatar
GymHenson: So yeah, I don't mind waiting....as long as we eventually hammer this one through at some point.
That's... I don't even know. I just don't like the way it sounds.
My lynch is already scheduled but at least I will get to point and laugh when you're disappointed later.
avatar
Lifthrasil: And haste is often the poor choice.
avatar
GymHenson: But not always. Like what if we hesitate, Joppo doesn't get hammered, and it turns out later that Joppo was scum?
Be honest, do you see any danger of that happening, that far away from the deadline? Or are you just as over-eager to lynch Joppo as he was yesterday to lynch Micro?
avatar
my name is sadde catte: Well that's no surprise, that's when D2 ended. From my point of view he's only been missing for a little over 2 days.
I understand that. I meant to point out that he hasn't made an appearance Today and that's well over the customary 48 hours. Thanks.

avatar
GymHenson: Well that's me right now....I have a gut feeling we're right with this pick, and my desire to see the outcome(and if it matches what I think it will be) slightly overrode my other usual desire to want to wait longer for other players to post their thoughts.
I get what you're saying and I also like to get it on with it but I also like to hear from Joe and nmillar (especially the latter).

joppo: That's harsh. I guess there isn't much I can say by now. I took a risk with Micro, it blew up spectacularly. I'm not surprised I'm close to lynch now.
I'm sorry, I suppose I could have been a bit more diplomatic about it, but it's the truth.
avatar
joppo: That's... I don't even know. I just don't like the way it sounds.
I'm sorry if that post came off as overly harsh....it's just I have a hunch you are more likely to be scum, and want to finally see if I am/was right(and also catch scum in the process, if I can)....so sorry again if it came off like I was being intentionally callous or didn't care or etc.

avatar
joppo: My lynch is already scheduled but at least I will get to point and laugh when you're disappointed later.
Not quite.....there is a slim chance it doesn't go through.

That said, if you are the lynch today(d3) and somehow flip town: Who are your top 2 or 3 suspects?

(Also if you somehow flip town, you can always get behind Nmillar from the one prior game to kick my behind for guessing wrong :))

(Bump needed)
avatar
Lifthrasil: Be honest, do you see any danger of that happening, that far away from the deadline?
To be honest, yes, albeit a slim chance....especially with a slimmer voter pool as we have now. Also with a "slimmer"(compared to D1 start) voting pool and all scum alive, it is likely that if Joppo is scum then the scum team will try(and have a better chance than on D1) to stall it out or switch it to someone else.

avatar
Lifthrasil: Or are you just as over-eager to lynch Joppo as he was yesterday to lynch Micro?
I've honestly been "eager" for a Joppo lynch since some time on D2 or so(iirc)......as I feel they are more likely to be scum(reasons for this which I listed in several other posts...one of them being how he hammered Micro so quickly and seemingly readily on D2, even after I stated that Micro was at L-1 twice and etc), I have two motivations for pushing for this as I am: I don't want to let a potential scum slip from our grasp, and I don't want D3 to drag on for too long if at all possible.
(like you yourself didn't want D2 to become D1 and to then drag on)

Well Nmillar might be a bit harder if they are sadly having IRL issues(hence them not posting as of late), but hopefully Joe will be on soonish to weigh in.

Btw while I got yer attention(also asking this to everyone else as well): If you are somehow the NK, who are your top 2 or 3 suspects atm?
(you might've said them before, but if you could just list their names here so no one has to wade through the thread, that'd be appreciated)

Mine, btw, are listed in a post where I used the word bragging....in case I am the NK ever and anyone is curious.

My list is here, Post 429

Obviously I think Joppo is one of them. I believe his buddy is somewhere between Lift/nmillar, Pooka or you.

Lift and nmillar are on the top spot and on equal standing mostly by process of elimination and past scum vibes.

Although I do agree with the notion that it's likely the scum team was split on the D1 wagons and they didn't end up voting together I'm sttill a bit weary of Pooka's insistence on bringing that up. If Joppo is scum and Pooka is his buddy it would make sense for him to keep pushing that and keep the attention elsewhere.

Last but not least - you. Again by process of elimination. I have ZFR and Joe as most likely Town. If it's none of the people listed above it has to be you although I doubt it as you are mostly being yourself and every time I've played with you so far you've been Town and I don't really know how your scum game looks.

If Joppo somehow turns out to be telling the truth I'd seriously start having second thoughts about ZFR.

First off, thanks for listing this.

dedoporno: Lift and nmillar are on the top spot and on equal standing mostly by process of elimination and past scum vibes.
On these two:

With Lift, it seems to me he has been acting a but "odd": Yes, he voted for Joppo as well...but he has seemingly been hesitant for us to hammer Joppo....he also seems (to me) to be shading me a bit and trying to stall the Joppo wagon with posts like Post 547 and Post 557.

Of course it might all just be town!Lift suspecting me of being scum, and being a bit cautious....still, it gives me pause.

Questions: What do you think on this re Lift?

Also as for Nmillar, I wonder now: Would Nmillar let the scum team "hang" if scum(to wait I mean, without them around to post)? Wouldn't they either post more or call for a replacement if needed? Or do you think they'd lay low like this as scum?

(As for me: I am starting to lean NMillar somewhat less likely to be scum and a bit more likely to be town due to this)

Haven't been paying as much attention to Pooka this game as I likely should. That said, iirc I get a neutral(as in they could be either faction imo) vibe from them, with a slight town lean.

(Might look back if I don't forget, and see what Pooka posted the last few "days")

Good on ya for suspecting me, though i'd like to point out(fwiw, as i'm not confirmed) that I have been in support of ZFR's plan since iirc D1. I have also been very vocal in general(post wise)....which I sometimes don't do as scum.

(yeah the above is lamist.....so take it all with a grain of salt)

avatar
dedoporno: If Joppo somehow turns out to be telling the truth I'd seriously start having second thoughts about ZFR.
I honestly don't see ZFR being bold enough to push a NL plan on D1...especially as many seem to see that as suspect in general(among the vet players I mean), and ZFR seems to get lynched early on in general(if I recall correctly).

++++

All that aside: If Joppo is lynched and proven scum, I will likely vote Lift on D4(if not NKd) or vote for NL. If Joppo somehow is town, I will have to think of what to do for a bit.

That alone and in itself seems like a janky reason, in my opinion. With Joppo being effectively the default lynch it would be a poor scum play to hope it gets derailed or foiled in any way yet again with so many alive players.

He has gotten NKed early a lot. I don't know about being lynched early but it doesn't sound right so I think you're mistaken.

Well he couldn't post during the night, so the clock only started at the beginning of D3. When you made post #550 it was just over the 48 hour mark from the beginning of the day.

Votecount the Twelfth - "Return of nmillar"

joppo 3 - pookina (#515), GymHenson (#527), Lifthrasil (#528)

Not voting 5 - JaiSpohpere, dedoporno, joppo, nmillar, ZFR

With 8 players 5 votes are required for lunch.

joppo is closest to lunch at L-2.

Okay, so we're mostly focused on Joppo because he chose to hammer early - is that the only reason, or have people got other reasons to be voting him at this stage? I don't think there's too much to read into people who jumped on the wagon, as scum don't really have any reason to push a quick vote through, as they still require another successful townie lynch tomorrow to end the game (assuming Joppo is town of course).
