Lifthrasil: Phaolo seems to be trying to make sense of this game
avatar
gogtrial34987: Give me an example of what you consider him doing so?
#169, #243, plus several where he pitched in on the exchange between dedo and me. At least to me it looked as if he were trying to sort out which one of the two of us is scum.
avatar
Lifthrasil: Well, I did find him less scummy than in other games. But I was rather considering if that means that he is scum, not as a sign that he is a PR. And I don't really get what you mean with misleading. I don't think that there is a correlation between Scum voting for someone and scum NKing someone. Or more precisely, any correlation that I can think of is heavily muddled by WIFOM. I get back to what I said earlier: usual reasons to NK someone would be that scum either sees someone as danger (PR, too clear reading of some of their members) or that the kill doesn't give Town much information. And I don't see Joe being hot on the tail of someone and also I don't see any hints that he had a PR. Do you?
No, not really, I guess I was just clinging to straws as we don't have too much to go on. We have only Joe's "wagon" and trent's which we can scrutinize. And we can only try to guess why Joe was NKd.
avatar
gogtrial34987: Paranoid worry: dedo + Lift performance for distancing?
Just saw this upon re-reading. Yep. That's exactly what dedo and I would probably do if we ever were scum together. But unfortunately we aren't, so I can only speculate about his alignment.

@blotunga: the problem is, trent's wagon was partially driven by himself and about Joe's NK we only have dedo's 'surprise' that is somewhat off. That's not much to work with.

But let's work with what we have: you were quite early on trent's wagon. So early that 'let's avoid no-lynch' wasn't a concern yet and trent wasn't the leading wagon yet. Could you explain your reason for voting trent - and for staying on trent?
Present.
Sorry.

gogtrial34987: No Kidding!? That does seem to be a pretty contentless way to enter the day...
Hm.

avatar
gogtrial34987: The way that nmillar wagon collapsed is giving me pause.
No, with the flip and the fact that some of the people on nmillar wagon ended up on trent's and trent was on nmillar's do you make anything out of this?

avatar
Lifthrasil: Well, I did find him less scummy than in other games.
What about him you found less scummy than in the past?

avatar
Lifthrasil: I will say this much, though: I was hoping with my vote and warning to others not to hammer that players would hold off for a bit, and then hopefully Trent would come on & give us their thoughts/reads & maybe give us something to work with so we could choose another lynch candidate before end of D1. But then what happened happened.
It's worth noting there is a reason why claim is expected at L-2 and it is precisely so self-hammer, accidental (or "accidental" )hammer don't happen so your vote that put him at that position is guilty of that to a degree.

Vitek: me
Last quote was made by GymHenson, not Lift. I messed up somewhere.
Present. Looks like I'm working online this afternoon so I should be able to surreptitiously catch up.
Please, someone dare start any wagon XD

Fair enough, but do note we were close to deadline and the chances we could get another wagon going were slim.

Also you seem to forget(or didn't mention) that Lift did more or less the same thing: if not for my vote, his vote would've also brought Trent to L-1.

Him missing my vote and accidentally hammering? Maybe.

Him doing that AND being ok with putting someone at L-1 before they've had a chance to claim? Harder to believe.

So, me doing the same thing that you did is hard to believe? Thanks, I guess.
Vote Count

Not voting - catte, Lift, GH, phaolo, nmillar, Micro, dedo, gogtrial, Vitek, blotunga

10 players. Takes 6 to lynch.

Well, you are a better player in several ways, and have likely been playing longer(time wise and total games) than myself....so yes, you doing such things as a town player in this game is hard for me to believe.

Vitek: Hm.
You disagree? You didn't give any reaction to either the nightkill or trent's flip. Just appeared in the day with a joke post, and then went straight to questioning other people.

Tell me, when you hopped onto trent's wagon (#336), you stated you had been observing "the Lift thing", and you felt "like [you] never got proper response".

You haven't taken it up again today, though. Why is that?

Nothing I trust in.

Most games on D1 have two leading wagons. Fellow scum hopping off scum!nmillar's wagon to try and prevent him from being the accompanying wagon to trent's wagon... could make sense. That'd bring extra attention to blotunga and Lift (interesting to note: Lift questioning blotunga up above in #455), maybe a little bit to GH, and of course to nmillar himself. If nmillar was town, however, there should be no reason for scum to hop off.

We have trent's reads as known-town reads. He had everyone (but me) as "Meh, I have no idea", with only a "little tingle" on nmillar ( #224).
And after that:

trentonlf: Going to change my vote to Blotunga though, when he used the reading of me never having been a Day 1 lynch to get on my wagon it felt off.
