Lifthrasil: Which is why there is a benefit in a policy lynch of one of you. SPF has a point there. If you both stay alive, you are an unconfirmed distraction, which a smart scum will leave alive as long as possible while hunting for PRs. The drawback is if course that we waste a lynch on a target that is likely neutral or town.
And if we are both town then we can pick from those remaining until we hit scum.....also if we turn out to be town/one is lynched what do you think of SPF? Would the last scum be so vocal just to get rid of some town PRs?

avatar
Lifthrasil: It is really unfortunate that you both behaved so scummy that you are a distraction rather than confirmed town. If you are town, please learn from this and read your damn PM properly in the future. Just skimming your own PM only creates unnecessary problems.
How did blotunga behave scummy, in your eyes? What stood out?

Also I did read it, I just didn't think mason meant anything or was just more fluff. Joke's on me for not checking with Joe.

avatar
Lifthrasil: So, as SPF elaborated, we have two paths:

1. We lynch one of the 'Masons'
+we get a hard confirmed town or neutral
+or we protect one PR, by forcing scum to go for the confirmed player
- we probably won't hit scum today

2. We lynch one of the 4 suspects
+we probably have a 25% chance of winning the game now
-if we don't hit scum, we'll have a difficult situation tomorrow with still two weird 'Masons' and less time to deal with them.
Flip a coin....but if one has to be lynched I think it should be me(if town needs this) as I have the least experience and don't mind when it happens(i'm quite used to it, tbh).

Btw to all: I am done for today.....going offline until tomorrow in about 15-17 hours from now I will be back

blotunga: There is a 0.001% chance that SPF's hairbrained theory is right. TBH if you lynch me or GR today then tomorrow you should lynch SPF.
What harebrained theory? Did you even read what SPF wrote? He didn't propose any harebrained theory. He made a valid point, that didn't include any theory but a description of the current situation.

Again, did you even read what he wrote? Or are you so angry by now, that you are in pure fight- mode and don't bother actually understanding what SPF writes?

@GR: please read posts 477 and 499 where I detail what was off with blotunga.

About SPF: it would make no sense at all for him to be the remaining scum. If be were, he could just go the path of least resistance and go about lynching one of the 4 generally suspect players. Everybody would go along and SPF would win. Going after the two half- confirmed 'Masons' would be unnecessary for a lone remaining scum in SPFs position.

Also he was the main driving force behind the lynch if the first two scum.
A scum alone with 2 townies who are sure of eachother is a sure lynch on the last day.

As for his theory of course it's harebrained, why would there be 4 scum? But as I said earlier just lynch me and be done with it. I hope SPF IS the last scum and is playing the game of his life.

blotunga: As for his theory of course it's harebrained, why would there be 4 scum?
So you admit that you didn't read what he wrote. His proposition to lynch one of you wasn't based on a theory that there would be 4 scum.
And of course I'm angry, you seem to be ignoring everything me and GR have shared and instead riding the same thing.

How on earth would it make sense to lynch one of us if there were only one scum left? The only one to profit is scum who would get rid of 2 confirmed town. On the off chance that maybe somehow Joe rigged the game and me and GR are indeed scum

Please read what SPF and I wrote. Both of us listed the advantages and disadvantages of lynching one of you vs. someone else.

Please consider especially the theory that at least one if the four suspects is a town PR.
Scum would eventually have to get rid of me or GR. There is no other way. Scum also knows that me and GR are town.

So you want to lynch one of us so that scum thinks that the other is confirmed just so that he can NK the other? Or do I understand that wrong? And what would be the benefit? To save a PR?

But here is the thing, if there were 2-3 scum, I'd agree, sacrifice a Mason to make sure the other is town, but we have only 1 scum so that's why it's pretty much sure that we have to be town (or worst case neutral, but we are not neutral).

So where is the benefit again to lynching a confirmed town instead of someone else?

blotunga: So where is the benefit again to lynching a confirmed town instead of someone else?
Here's the point: you are NOT confirmed town! You are most likely not scum. But you could very well be neutral/third party. So there are advantages of lynching one of you to hard- confirm what the other is.

But we are running out of time. Tomorrow is deadline and if we don't lynch one of you, we would want time for a claim at L-1.

Unfortunately there is not much difference in the scumminess/towniness of the 4 remaining players. Especially since we all ended up infighting again.

So, to get your focus away from SPF: whom would you lynch? Did you discover anything that sets one of the four apart from the others?
avatar
Lifthrasil: You are most likely not scum. But you could very well be neutral/third party
Confirming us would bring nothing new. If by some chance we aren't town, most likely we aren't anti-town.

Now to the elephant in the room, we still don't have any other leads because we wasted the week with me and GR being under scrutiny, which is exactly the thing I wanted to avoid with my claim (besides GR's lynch).

Pooka's mass claim suggestion did feel a bit odd, and I do wonder if it was a blunder. However Pooka can be creative when scum so not sure.
LOLChan in one post says that it's weird that I don't worry about NK (I don't really, actually I was hoping to be the only NK target, but that somehow backfired spectacularly) and that we might be scumteam, but then of course he quickly changed tune after realising that the likelihood of 4 scum setup is very low to none.
nmillar seems to go with the flow, mostly agrees with you and SPF I don't have time now to go back 20 pages, but could mean just laying low
redfire seems to lean town from my read, even though at first I had him down as a maybe scum.

So at this point I'd either lynch Pooka or LOLChan.
Lolchan is a bit cleared in my mind by the ease with which she hopped on trent's train. As the second one on it, before it was clear that trents lynch was unavoidable. Would scum@Lol have sacrificed her second buddy that easily?

I am suspecting pooka and nmillar. I already went over that and the reasons for my suspicion haven't changed. So let's go with the one who is within the leading two for most of us.

vote Pooka
OK, I can go along with this.

Exactly this. We know if we lynch blotunga or GameRager that we're not potentially losing a town PR.

But also not potentially lynching scum.

So, who is your preferred target if we don't lynch GR or blotunga?

True. but it seems the less risky strategy at the moment.

As I've stated previously, LOLchan and Pooka are my primary suspects, mainly for lurkiness.
