Hmm, claw coming up out of a crevice. That makes me think of two things, dragons and hell beasts. The chances of skyrim coming before oblivion, meh. That leads me to think Diablo

If diablo comes to gog, I'll literally lose my shit and will prepare for the rapture. 'Cause end times are nigh.

edit: Hmm, I forgot about deathclaws. But when I think Fallout 3, that's not what comes to mind. New Vegas, yes. 3, no.

plagren: I definitely didn't spend hours trying to edit out the text, doing reverse image searches and digging up the Internet Archive for matches from deleted sites
You didn't do that either, huh? I didn't get to the point where I wasn't individually looking at pictures of some obscure art from heroes of might and magic 6. I didn't not find anything.
At the risk of being a smart-arse/ass, could it be an orange tinted picture with a date on it? :-P

(And, no, I can't work out what it is either!) :-)
Dayum! I'm hoping it's a brand new release that we are not quite expecting. I can't decipher what it is either. The imagery doesn't have the same resemblance to the sharp and crisp flair that tend to usually be splashed on gaming promo pictures. It comes across as a more humble, fantasy-styled with a Christmas-feel kind of image. So yeah, maybe it could be a sale after all.

It's Neverwinter Nights wallpaper.
It's Diablo. Big ol' flat head and glowing eye poking up out of the depths of hell.

Admit it gog, it's Diablo!

jadegiant: Perhaps we're finally getting the discontinued NWN premium modules, like Wyvern Crown of Cormyr?
That'd be cool.

Now THAT is interesting...
Seems likely. Though it'll probably be be greeted with the usual howls of rage from the people who convinced themselves that it's going to be FO3/NV/Skyrim/Oblivion.

Still curious as to what we're getting on December 1st though. It's odd that they'd picked that background image if it's not linked at least in some way to NWN.
