MarkoH01: I just read that GOG severed ties with Kagura. It is their right to do. Just wanted to tell them that I have created a Kagura accound and a JAST account to buy those games GOG is refusing to sell me. So every cent I spent there is money lost to GOG. I hope they are happy that they listened to the vocal minority instead of reason.
I said it so many times: they just should have put this damn filter in place for those who dislike these games and be done with it. Most of the naysayers would not even know anymore that it is possible to buy these games here. They decided to focus on other stuff instead. They think that their actual begging program (see checkout) or the PR preservation program (which does not preserve a thing if we are honest) or the community wishlist remastered aka dreamlist would really help them ... at the same time they slap a part of their userbase directly into their face. Thank you very much.
Just wanted to say it out loud. I am well aware that GOG is not reading the forum posts anyway ....
Edit: Here can you find a screenshot as actual proof:
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/release_tokyo_clanpool_3f32c/post98 This is really disapointing and I completely agree, it seems I'm going to go back to Steam then... I play mostly on the steam deck and buying games on Steam is more convenient. If GoG is starting to pull these decisions, I'm going to stop supporting them and search for alternatives, I already buy on Kagura games oficial website, DLsite, Jast, Steam... I Wanted to support GOG because it's a European business and it's DRM-free and very pro consumer, but at least steam continues to release Kagura titles, as for Alicesoft titles, I now regret buying them on GOG instead of JAST...
I liked GOG too because it's the best storefront after steam in terms of features and even on Linux, Heroic Games Launcher made it a one click install for most fo these games even Kagura titles with the patch which was a superior experience to even buying from the kagura games own website. But now... I'm rethinking my future investments on GOG because of this.
