According to the law... i see not such a area, it is usually not forbidden but there might be certain conditions that need to be met. Sweden is a special case... as sex workers are not allowed to work there. So if someone is not becoming "free sex" (mostly male affected) then they are probably busted, in legal terms.

Some people say "porn is forbidden in Japan", actually from what i can see on those prehistoric laws linked to it with very vague letters, it is kinda a gray area there, yet not strictly forbidden. Nonetheless, it is very easy meeting a sex worker there... even widely accepted. So, probably not even a gray area but games or movies are usually censored, without a solid law in the background... kinda special.

The only thing that is concerning is that Collective Shout is that they are a Conservative Christian pro-life group. Often these type makes claims that they're trying to protect women and girls, but their real agenda is usually controlling us to conform to very specific standards of how women should look, dress, and behave. They'll crusade against anything that doesn't fit their agenda but do nothing about things like evangelical rape culture.

I'm not sorry to see Kagura go, but it's not a stretch to say that this group wouldn't go after Control, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Portal for having female protagonists. Women running around being heroic doesn't fit within their world view, and they also wouldn't want men playing games where they might accidentally identify with a female character.

Not true! But what can I do against prejudices? Did you ever play Demons Roots? It is a Kagura game and it is absolutely great with or without h-content. Stop selling subjective opinions as facts without even knowing what you are talking about. You are seeing some screenshots and dare to say that you can judge the quality of the actual game. It's all right if you played it and disliked it but in that case say that YOU did not like it after you tried it ... you surely did not play all Kagura games ... I guess you did not play even a single one. Yet you can tell us all that they are all quality trash.

They pulled the same crap with MangaGamer a few years ago.

From kagura games i at least played the so called best kagura game dungeon town to end which was not trash and had some interesting game mechanics though the adult content there was a necesary game mechanic also. I kinda liked the story there. Over all saves i needed 69 hours.
But for some reason kagura still didn't release the dlc expansion anywhere since they said if enough people buy it they could release it.
Rpg maker games are not automaticly trash.
I do have a few more kagura games but i still got to buy demon roots. Just because there is hentai in it doesn't discredit these things as being games. There are some interesting rpg maker games out there that don't have porn and are good like vampires dawn 2, hybris pulse of ruin, ara fell and more but i am not gonna write them all here which i find interesting since many are free or german.

Like they are selling all the Higurashi title except for Higurashi When They Cry Hou+... when I discover it I just got it drm-free on the mangagamer website (yes, this is also already drm-free).
Higurashi is not even a porn title.
They got every other games of the francise here (up to Higurashi When They Cry Hou - Rei ...)
it just make no sense why Gog decided to avoid to get the last title of Higurashi... yet they did so I got it elsewhere.

Almost same deal with Anima Gate of Memories... the first game is here, The Nameless Chronicles is not here, the devs said they wanted to publish it here but gog said no. I suggested them to look at itch since I know itch it's easy to use and can be a great alternative to devs that want to publish drm-free games without any limitations.

Gog just lose opportunities everywhere. I can understand they cannot publish everything and that the games need to be drm-free, but once a dev get one game approved there is no reason to reject other games from them anymore unless the quality drops by a lot.

Porn content and a nice game... now imagine that?! That would almost be like someone who crossed a line.... Can you imagine a triple A porn title?

Well, triple-A tends to mean A-level publisher too, and one of those going for that I can't imagine.
But there are such games with some level of sexual content, so a question becomes when does it become a "porn game". And, of course, there are supposedly "porn games" here that don't actually require experiencing the sexual content, and plenty where it's not explicit, especially if you don't make a point of grabbing the unrated patch.

Higurashi hou+ is missing on gog. I got all of the higurashi VN on gog as the anime is one of my top 10. Only read the First 4 episodes to end with a special mod patch the question arcs. Kinda dissapointed we didn't get it here.

I've said this before - If GOG is going to have porn games, high quality porn only please. The pervy boys that want to look at naked titties deserve to play good games too.


Let's be completely honest with each other here. Graphics are extremely important with porn games because otherwise I'm going to say that the really ancient flash game Defend Your Castle is one of the greatest pornographic games ever. There's no absolutely reason to believe that any those stick people actually wearing anything, which means that this is a game where naked stick people attacking a castle and other naked stick people defending it. What? Nobody here gets hot and bothered over stick people. Okay, then. Let's agree that graphics are extremely important then.



Let's take a serious look at some screen shots of games from Kagura Games:

These are not the same game, but the issue is that they look like they could be the same game. Yes, I would expect that games by the same publisher to have a similar look and feel about them. However it shouldn't be to the extent that three different games look like they could be one game. There's the secondary issue in that these games are blatantly using the RPG Maker engine and while some good games have been produced with RPG Maker, it does have an association with free RPGs you can download off itch that all use the same standard assets. It makes these games look like they're using tons of prefab assets, and prefab assets look is even more so with some of the other titles.


Especially when you see things like this:

These two screen shots are from the same game, but I noticed that the art for the background is inconsistent. I have no issue with developers purchasing art assets, but they should make an effort to have an artistic consistency because otherwise it makes the game look cheap.... and worse than the RPG Maker stuff you can download off itch for free.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm color-blind, but those monsters really do have the look of placeholder art. It really does make the game look like they spent their entire art budget then realized that they didn't get around to finalizing the art for the monsters. Oops. It's another example of why Kagura Games stuff tends to look like cheap porn where you can find better games for free on itch.
