== BUG REPORTING ==

Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

andry18: Sorry guys, but it's a looong time that galaxy doesn't count the hours in game, nor the unlocked achievements.
I tried just everything, even doing a clean installation of galaxy. Any tips?
Some games still don't work properly with galaxy, see http://mantis.gog.com/view.php?id=3316

Sadly I don't own Alan Wake on gog yet, thus can't check. And have only 71 games installed, can't say much about all the rest..
The only games I experienced problems with not counting playtime were games launched via launcher, what can be easily fixed.
See The Witcher 2 example above.
Well, Galaxy is still somewhere between alpha and beta state. Not everything works as expected ; )

Yea Alan Wake does not appear to work, nor does it count last played. I've reported this before, along with a number of other games. I can't say for 100% but it appears any game were Galaxy doesn't count the last played, it also doesn't count time played either. Just from my own experience.
Thanks to both for the support.
Unfortunately it's not an antivirus problem, I've already tried to disable it or even unistall, but that didn't solve the problem. For what concerns the games...I have this problem since september, no matter which game I was playing on.
And I played quite a lot. the witcher 3 and this war of mine are the only ones that I played before the problem appears, so they have some old stats, but for the others (divinity original sin, soma, stasis, the vanishing of ethan carter, mark of the ninja, alan wake & alan wake american nightmare) just 0, and the same happens to the witcher 3 (I'm playing the hearts of stone expansion these days, but I'm still stuck with the "196h 22m")

Last played does not work for some games, since the very beginning I believe.
But still does count time spent in game on win7, might be some compatibility issue with win10.
Honestly, Galaxy seems to be such a mess I suspect it's kind of protection from disassembling ; )

Unfortuantely I don't have any games you mentioned, except The Witcher 3, which seemed to work for you before expansion..
Mantis and a lots of patience seems to be the way.. ; )

Just fired up Galaxy 1.1.5, it didn't seem to attempt to update or indicate there was an update, but I saw the two new bundle promos for today and middle-clicked on both of them which caused them to both be opened in new tabs in Firefox instead of in the Galaxy client. At the bottom of the page that came up was a bright blue notification that said along the lines of "Your Galaxy client is out of date and was unable to be updated automatically, you can download the new version from <link>", so I downloaded it and the file I got is:

setup_galaxy_1.1.5.28.exe

When I run this, it tells me that the version of Galaxy that I have is newer than the one I downloaded. I'm not sure how I can both simultaneously have a newer version of Galaxy installed and at the same time not have the latest version, but I'm intrigued to find out. :)

Oh, also... the other day I configured The Witcher 3 to NOT auto-update, restarted Galaxy several times since and confirmed that auto-updates of The Witcher 3 were disabled. Last night I started up Galaxy and switched away to another app, and when I returned Galaxy had 3/4 downloaded The Witcher 3's new update even though I had disabled it and confirmed it was disabled several times. I went in and checked the configuration and auto-updates were in fact enabled again. It appears the only way to stop auto-updates is to uninstall the game, or uninstall Galaxy. :)

As a followup to my last post, I manually uninstalled Galaxy 1.1.5 via the Control Panel, then ran the new installer for 1.1.5.28 and when I start up Galaxy I still get version 1.1.5 and none of the new features show up.

It turns out that uninstalling Galaxy doesn't actually uninstall it either, the C:\Program Files ... Galaxy folder has all the files still in it from the first install, and C:\ProgramData\Galaxy is left behind as well. It appears all it uninstalls is itself from the registry, but leaves the files on the hard disk. I uninstalled it again, then manually deleted the directories it uses and just reinstalled it now to my E: drive which is where I actually want it, but it still stores files on the C:\ProgramData also. Hopefully that gets fixed in a future release. I'll just use a Windows junction point to force it onto my E: drive for now so it's not burning up my SSD.
Ok, so now I've successfully installed 1.1.5.28, but it very clearly still says it is 1.1.5 in the title bar, and when I middle-click on a game promo I am still told by the website in Firefox that my Galaxy is out of date. At this point I think it's safe to conclude that something is messed up in Galaxy and/or on the website, so I'll uninstall and wait for the next update.

Chat hasn't worked for me for a while either, but that's a separate issue that I forgot to mention before.

This happens always when you land up on http://embed.gog.com instead of https://embed.gog.com
Nothing to say about uninstalling Galaxy, some files as well as registry entries stays untouched for some reason..

Since the beginning of the beta. Now I can start downloading. Took you guys a while but thanks!
- Bugfix: Fixed Server Error message when initializing download of some games on low speed connection
Galaxy 1.1.5 (beta) sometimes gives 2 errors (one after another), when i exit it.
Screenshots of errors in attachment. I'm using XP, 32bit. Never experienced those errors before 1.1.5.

I've got about 9 GOG games installed, Galaxy ground my hard disk and system into the ground for an hour just now "scanning" my games. I'm not sure what it was doing, but probably calculating file hashes on them all for comparison with the GOG servers versions of the games. As a suggestion I would recommend configuring this process to happen with very low process priority, and if Windows has the functionality to also have very low I/O priority. If I was using Linux I could use iorenice to affect it, no idea if Windows has such a tool.

Ended up killing Galaxy to stop it from taking over my entire 8-core 32GB system as I have important stuff to do. :) Soon as it was stopped, the system jumped back to function, before that it was massively disk thrashing. Hopefully that process can be streamlined in the future and greatly reduced CPU/RAM/diskIO loads. My hard disk sounded like it was going to let out smoke.
Any word on an ETA for the Galaxy on Linux yet?
